Hello! Thanks for taking the time to acquire our little exec. You might
remember our previous release BLAST, which was a programming interface to
the SB through ct-voice.drv. We now have a GUS! This means we can continue
creating quality software for an even better sound card!
Well, this release contains a .voc player, GBLAST. GBLAST will check the
ULTRASND environment variable to determine the GUS' base address, if this
fails it defaults to 220. Also, only single block .voc's are supported,
no stereo, no repeats, no silence, etc. Check the Maybe List below for
possible improvements.
If no filename is given, GBLAST will complain. The filenames need to
include the extension as well. After GBLAST has loaded the sample into
GUS memory and starts it playing it exits and allows the user to continue
to do whatever else is important at the moment.

below. If you have any suggestions, check the Maybe List below. We might
be thinking of it already. If you like what you see, send it to the
Complaint Address as well.

- Add silence and repeat blocks.
- Add compression blocks. (doubtful)
- A shell to play vocs. (Very hopeful)

- Multiple filenames.
- Add .wav support. (Or whatever other file types you request)
