What's all this shit about the CREDIT CARDS over AT&T being traced..
Jesus, I think dudes out there are getting more PARANOID than me! :)
Every time a goddamn method of calling dies, the whole scene is about
to get busted! Examples... Boxing, AT&T cards, MCI%ards, MCI backdoor,
credit cards... Fuck, this shit is only PROPAGANDA and DISINFORMATION
spread by the lame asses in AT&T etc... to stop you from phreaking...
They could NOT bust the entire scene who phreak calls; the legal costs/
time/invasion of privacy lawsuits (which firbids calls being traced
from calling/credit cards, under the American Constitution, to which
AT&T - the American company, is bound) would simply not be worth it
to stop a small amount of these fuckers' profits being lost by the
freedom fighters who are the cool phreakers out there...
Prophets of doom on the computer scene are nothing new... so dont think
the scene could ever be just SHUT DOWN overnight... it could die a slow
death, like it is now, and eventually be no more. We all know who the
real crooks and thieves are out there, it's the greedy telecommunications
corporations of the world who make you PAY to COMMUNICATE... It's really
a ridiculous situation which people have just grown to accept. Think of
how much you pay in taxes to your government, and the phone companies are
well set up already, with existing lines etc... they're bloodsuckers!
So dont fall for all the shit they pump out, they want you to get scared
and stop phreaking.. after all it's the easiest way to stop it, and the
cheapest! Believe me, I've been on the scene for a long time, and seen
some of my friends busted (most recently -$pender), but it only happens
to a few... By far the worst thing that AT&T have done so far was to bust
KILLERETTE & PHONESTUD/SR for ALLEGEDLY stealing the cards and selling
them to the entire scene... (Those were the days!)
Of course I may be wrong, but I doubt it... and if by some chance your one
of the unlucky dudes whose number comes up (1 in 1000 might be busted!) the
authorities will not do shit... maybe a fine for misusing electricity
(BOXING) or credit/calling card fraud (CARDING)... I personally would *NOT!*
use PBX's, bcoz of the dangers involved....
