Ok this might not be a big matter to all of you fellow scenedudes there,
but as this has been annoying me for quite a while now I thought finally
break out of shell and try to make a change!
The thing is BOARD-ADVERTISEMENTS!!!
You sysops have gone *BERSERK* lately with your addings! I think it's
totally lame and unnecessary to put more than *ONE* ad per file!
If someone doesn't want to keep them in the files, they will use a
stripper and get rid of them, that's it. It just makes more BORING
work for all sysops to update their striplists all the time when some
LAME dudes change their zillion adds every day!
And also those 40k iff/gif/jpg/whatever PICTUREadds are to be counted
as WASTE!!!
Picture that, you add 40k iff to every lha you get in your bbs, it gets
crunched to 30k. So you get 25 lha's every day, that makes 30k * 31 days
* 25 files = 23,25MB of picture bbs adds a month!!! Makes NO sense!
Well back to the actual fact, WHY in the hell do LAME SYSOPS add more
than 1 txtaddy to files?!
One of the worst examples to date must be this lamebrain called
'Alcoholic' with his (hers? hahah) lame 1-node bbs Sticky Fingers,
14 ADDS IN ONE FILE! (Yes, FOURTEEN!) And even including three
programs - renamed nofastmem, one prog that makes your machine guru
and a HD-FORMATTER! HOW LAME CAN A MAN GET????!!!!
