I G G Y / H E L L F I R E B U S T E D F U L L S T O R Y
Yeah thats right I along with Jam were busted at 6.45am Wednesday morning.
The charge being Extraction Of Electricity Fraudulently.
So in came BT investigator Adrian Gorham, a CID officer and a uniformed
policeman who possessed the warrant.
They came in after flashing a search warrant in my face. I was called
downstairs by my parents where Gorham started asking me questions about an
alleged fraud that took place at Simply Computers in London where they
received a phone bill in excess of 57,000 pounds. They then told me that I
had also made calls to that number and using it to call abroad etc. They
went upstairs in my room and started removing computers, disks etc and
placing them in bags whilst patronising me. In total they took 2 amiga
1200`s, 1 PC 486, 3 external drives and around 2000 disks, my modem and all
my documents. At the same time they busted Jam who lives only 4 miles away
and they also told me "We are visiting your mate down the road as well" I
didn`t need to ask who it was. They took his Amiga 1200 and his pirate
satellite card. They left his Cdrom though and then took his modem after his
mum fetched it for them! I waited with them for about 30 mins downstairs as
we were waiting for a van to take my gear away where they starting taking
the piss out of my family in general.
Now....
they mentioned something when they were in taking everything that makes me
think I was grassed. And I think the guilty scene dude is none other than
Hot Tuna who gave details about me. They let slip a sentence which I seem to
remember Hot Tuna saying to me just before Oasis was busted. They called it
(if
i remember rightly) The Hellfire bust up in Northumberland which was the
bust of Oasis. Considering this was Hellfire WHQ it was a nice target and
around the same time Hot Tuna was also busted and i feel it was at this time
he mentioned me although I don`t think he knew my complete details. The BT
guy and the officer knew my handle on the scene as well. So obviously either
the info came from the OASIS BBS or Hot Tuna himself. None which I can
really prove. They also tried to convince me that grassing up was a good
idea considering that all the "scene dudes have been grassing each other up
and might be to my advantage" Yeah right sure will do! And so i did not say
anything.
The van arrived outside my house so i went in and who did i find inside? Yes
it was JAM! so we were taken together to good old Chingford Police Station
where we were bunged in a cell for 4 hours and given some of thr most
disgusting food i have ever tasted.
They interviewed Jam then me to which I replied no comment tomost of the
questions. Let me just tell u what they knew.
Line monitored for 6 odd weeks.
Every digit I typed since then.
he told me about my:
AT&T carding
MCI 0000000000000000`S
PBX abuse to various companies
scanning 0800 numbers
BT chargecard abuse
Attempted boxing through China.. to which he told me he knew i couldn`t do
it.
He showed me my 141 calls.. If ya wanna continue PBXING don`t do 141 b4 the
number as it goes against you and makes you look more suspicious!
If you see a PBX is lasting longer than it should don`t worry as it isn`t
really being monitored, because its BT`S duty to put a stop to it AS SOON as
they know its being abused. Unless of course its 0800252495!
Some more info to shit you lot out there. If you happened to make frequent
calls to France and especially SRI LANKA you better watch out (on Simply
Computers PBX)as they are onto you and they think you are the big fish. MR
Gorham also said there are investigations going on in London so there will
be more busts i presume and also if you live in the Leicester area beware as
MR Gorham also mentioned that! He also metioned that more BBSES are being
looked at and there is a pile they want to investigate!
i then asked them to show me the Simply Computers bill... 57000 odd with a
further 20,000 pound one to come in the next installment! It was intersting
to note that it was about 60 odd pages long! 10,000 odd pounds for direct
dialled national calls and about 40 pages worth of INTERNATIONAL DIRECT
DIALED CALLS! totalling 65,000 odd quid!
They have tried to get me and Jam on a conspiracy charge in which we
together conspired to defraud the company. After Jam called me for 17
minutes one day he put the phone down and started dialling Simply Cmputers
PBX! Like wow that really means I TOLD HIM dosen`t it?! This is what they
are going to try and prove. They have been closely monitoring all my calls
to him and vice versa! They showed me my WHOLE account for the past 6 weeks
of my Telephone usage, every digit i dialled, every call that came through
to me, at what time it started and at what time it ended togetehr with the
total cost it would have been. he mentioned that most of my calls had
actually been legitimate but was deliberately asking why i decided to use
141 before all 0800 numbers. The Cid officer was a patronising smarmy cunt
who looked like he had gone on a 30 minute crash course in pbx abuse and
scene talk before they raided me. He even used the word "lamer". I was in the
interview room for 45 minutes when they let me out I then asked to dial my
mum to tell her what was happening and they told me 9 to outdial from the met
police followed by #### h0hh0h0h0h00hh0h0 very funny i thought.
The weird thing ws that it had been 5 weeks since i had actually called
out so well basically it had taken them that long to gather evidence to bust
me.
All I can now to guys is that keep using them and u won`t last cos they WILL
get u eventually and it ain`t nice getting everything taken. Its your risk
take it or leave. I know what my advice would be.
