C= has lost a great deal of money: The company lost $7.32 per share last
qrt, and the sahres are currently arounf $2.80. Part of the loss was due to
the markdown of inventory for the big clearances that have been going
on,and this is a papaer loss rather than a real one. The bad news is that
C= sales were nearly 40% off fromm this qrt last year, and Miggy sales down
25%
Runour is that Irving Gould and other major shareholders are under
investigation by the Stock Exchnage Commission for playing with the stock
They apparently run the price of the stock down, bought it at rock bottom
prices, sell these shares after doing things to makes the company more
profitable.
