a reply to LSD-SUXX.TXT by Oedipus/LSD
Oh dear, it seems that 2-Cool is incontent with his destructive plans for
LSD failing miserably, but he has to try and lie his way out of the scene.
The plain facts of the matter are, that 2-Cool apparently decided to try
and destroy LSD, failed, and then decides to try another way, by writing a
lame text file. Indeed, the only reason I am replying to the file is
because the file was so inaccurate (both in language and in content!) that
I almost laughed! Let's start off with some background information about
2-Cool....
2-Cool, a talented coder, received a lot of racist abuse from D-Man.
2-Cool rightly complained, and then threatened to leave the group. D-Man
was then kicked out of LSD, rightly so, but this was not the last time
2-Cool would threaten to leave to try and get his own way....
The CD business is actually very irrelevant - 2-Cool didn't give a shit
about the CD and money going into LSD - it was simply an appropriate excuse
to play on the morality strand. However, for someone in a group like LSD
to honestly pretend to be bothered about shareware and software
copyrighting is not only stupid but an insult to everyone's intelligence.
2-Cool had 100K out of a 600MB CD!! Let's do some of 2-Cool's great maths
now shall we?
600MB/100K = 6000. He has 1/6000th of the CD.
Suppose Pazza and mUB DID sell 20,000 CDs and got £60,000 profit, a figure
which has already been proved as WAY over the realistic profit, then 2-Cool
would deserve £10. So if 2-Cool REALLY cared about the issue, he would
surely have given some thought at least to the idea that he might not have
very much work on the CD!
In the file LSD-SUXX.txt, 2-cool (with countless spelling mistakes..)
mentions the design that went into his and The Art's demos... Yes 2-Cool,
you were a productive member. Yes, so was The Art. But yes too you both
seemed to have no idea about design! If you were to look at your intros
SURELY you might have noticed a slight "1988 feel" of them? Great NEW
routines like COPPER BARS, STARFIELDS! Not to detract from them, the
intros you both wrote were certainly appreciated but in no means made you
INDISPENSABLE! The idea of a group rather implies that there will be more
than one person in the group and in a group like LSD, where talented people
are crying out to join, any one person is NO MORE indispensable than any
productive member.
And now to the real point of this file - 2-Cool's BLATANT lies and
stupidity! You ACTUALLY tried to blame the whole thing on FisH! Now to
ANYONE involved - ie Ken D, Rad!, Maximan, me to name but a few, it was
obvious that you started this thing up on your own! The first I heard of
it was when i got a call from Andy asking for my ADVICE on a delicate
matter...he then explained that some productive members were threatening to
leave over the CD business. This was before EX4 existed!
I get a call from Andy later on explaining that the situation has
accelerated into the group being formed under the name Experiment 4. Well
excuse me for expressing my views, but Experiment 4 is a shit name! Why
don't you THINK about the name - what sort of an IMAGE does the name convey
when it is heard? And while we're on the subject of names, my name is not
"Opedious"!!! What sort of a name is that? I'm not going to explain the
foundations of my name as it's irrelevant, but for someone to try and
manage a group and to spell a member's handle wrong in the info file about
the group shows just how much time you took on that file.
Now for a double quote from your recent text file...

Hmm. I don't care really what you say, but obviously EX4 are still in
1988 if you think Passion is shit and Experiment 4 is good.... I mean
Passion reminds me of Melon, The Movement and Banal Projects, while
I'm afraid EX4 reminds me of Bamiga Sector One, who, while excellent,
would move with the times instead of staying in 1988. But you didn't
give a shit anyway did you Trevor because...
"I myself *COULDN`T GIVE A *TOSS* ABOUT WHAT THE FUCK THE NAME OF THE
GROUP *OR* THE DISKMAG WAS CALLED* ".. a great attitude to starting
a new group when so many new groups disappear into thin air each day!

2-Cool once he's realised someone's written the truth... but no matter
what he writes I won't be replying to it, 'cos I wouldn't want to
associate LSD any more with Experiment 4.
