                           Personal Database v1.0h
Written by Bas van Gaalen for Gfxfx2.1/Gfxfx3

Tired of loosing addresses? Getting crazy by rewriting all addresses in the
new agenda's all the time? Then here's the solution to your problem: PD!
PD is a program to store the address and other related info from a person in a
database, like phone, fax, Fidonet-nodenumber, Internet address and birthdate.
PD also keeps track of the birthdates, sothat you won't forget them anymore.
It's an easy to use program with online help for every function. Even my mom
knowns how to operate it. (Ducking! :)

PD is Public Domain, which means you can alter it in any way you like. But for
recompilation you need Gfxfx2. This shareware package can be downloaded from
all major programming-sites on the Internet and Fidonet. Of course I don't
like it if all kinds of spin-offs would float around all of a sudden. So if
you're gonna change anything, please give credit where it's due! And if you
do make some nice addition, please send them my way.

The subtitle says: 'written for Gfxfx2.1'. That's because this program is, in
fact, made to demonstrate the possebilities of the text-based units of Gfxfx2.
PD is released in Gfxfx2.1 (later in '96) and seperatly in November '96.

Concerning the sourcecode...

PD was made in Borland Pascal 7.0. It makes use of several units from my
shareware package, Gfxfx2. I updated the u_kb unit (it now includes a
keyboard-handler). The updated unit is included in this package, including
source. Of course this is just a thin version and it still needs u_kb to
compile.

The online help text can be found in the file PD.HLP. It's plain text. Note,
that when you start messing around with it, things will go wrong when adding
or removing lines. The start-positions and number of lines of all sections
can be found in the sourcecode of PD (hardcoded somewhere at the start).

In case you missed it: the sourcecode can be found in the file PD_SRC.ZIP.

Have fun.
Signed,
Bas van Gaalen - November '96.
