FLASH26 by ARJORGE1987
Using the full memory available on a stock TI 99/4A machine with TI BASIC, I wanted to show some nice things on screen, paying homage to the retro community that visits my Youtube channel every week, while celebrating the retro community as a whole with some background 'music'. Always wanted to participate in a FlashParty, I don't think I have the caliber for it, but maybe someone likes it. No AI was used.
Using the https://js99er.net/#/ Emulator (WEB):
Navigate to: https://js99er.net/#/
On the bottom menu click "Load disk" and search for DiskA.dsk.
Then in the Emulator main screen, press any key, and then "1" to enter TI BASIC.
Write the command:
OLD DSK1.FLASH26
Once it finishes loading in a couple of seconds, a new prompt will appear below the command, now write:
RUN
And after pressing Enter it will load and run the demo. It runs for around 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Using the Classic99 Emulator (Windows Binary):
(Since Classic99 does not weight a lot, I added a copy in a zip file of the exact version that I used to test it before sending it)
In the top menu bar go to Disk, expand DSK1, and click the first Item, it should open the popup setting to load a specific file.
On Disk Type select "Image (DSK)", and in Path search and select DiskA.dsk
Click OK.
(See 99-01.jpg if in doubt)
Then in the Emulator main screen, press any key, and then "1" to enter TI BASIC.
Write the command:
OLD DSK1.FLASH26
Once it finishes loading in a couple of seconds, a new prompt will appear below the command, now write:
RUN
And after pressing Enter it will load and run the demo. It runs for around 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
EXTRA
After loading the disk (OLD command) you can run LIST to list the full code to know that what you are loading is exactly what I sent in the text file. Beware, it takes a couple of minutes to list the full 500 lines.
