Description: Our first C64 demo, and our first attempt at 6502 assembly. At 2997 bytes, Hypnotron reveals the strange patterns and weird emergent properties that live inside a live C64 memory map. The left and rightmost characters on screen act as an entropy source for the feedback loop. These are not pre-programmed effects, but rather the result of deep recursion. After the program runs on autopilot for a while, feel free to use the WASD keys to freely navigate the map.
