[ Overview ]
"Return to CD" is an intro especially designed for the Commodore Amiga CDTV
and as such its most distinctive feature is the use of Compact Disc music.
[ System requirements ]
A minimum of a PAL Commodore Amiga CDTV or A570 with:
- Motorola 68000 cpu
- OCS chipset
- 512 KB of chip memory
In theory the intro should also run on CD32 and on any CD-ROM based Amiga
given that the CD file system supports emulation of CDTV / CD32.
[ How to run ]
- Unpack the archive
- Software emulator (eg WinUAE): mount the .cue file as a CD image
- Real hardware: burn the .cue file to a physical CD-R disc, boot your system from that CD
[ Background information ]
The intro is a tribute to the Compact Disc technology and its integration into the Amiga line of computers.
The authors intended to revive the vibes of the late 80s / early 90s.
