It’s difficult to describe the Know in human terms. The Thing That Shouts
Across Realities has, throughout its affairs among English speaking humans,
chosen to call it the Know to evoke two of the definitions of knowledge
discussed in Plato's Theaetetus - knowledge as perception, and knowledge as
true judgement with an account.
To a human observer, true judgement seems unattainable, as human perception
is always subjective and prone to error. It is, however, possible to come to
perceive raw, primal reality in terms of fundamental, timeless entities. Plato
called these entities Forms. The Things call themselves the Things.
I will not lie. It will be a perilous journey. I have seen people fall, their
minds shattered, their flesh warped into grotesque mockeries. Few can bridge
the gap. Fewer still, however, can catch a glimpse of the Know and return to
their mundane lives. It will always be with them, gnawing, burning.
Attached is a recording of an initiation broadcast. Do with it what you will.
Perhaps you have already watched it without reading. That is fine. Many have
heard the call without the safety of a preamble at all. The gifts of The Thing
That Is All Things are for the willing and unwilling alike.
