La amiga
30 colours (12-bit RGB)
328x256 px
Inspired by a painting of an egyptian woman by Sargent,
I did a quick sketch on paper,
scanned it and began painting values in Photoshop.
Used Dan Fessler's index painting technique
where I had an overlay layer filled with one of his patterns
and a posterize layer on top of that to reduce the colours.
I painted under those layers with a hard and soft round brush
until I had something that looked decent.
Added colours on top of the greyscale pixel art
before cleaning up the pixels and sending it to the party.
I'm not quite done, but I think it looks good enough to be submitted as an entry.
The background is made of a pattern from the internet
(kind of a cheat, but I don't mind since the background isn't the selling point)
and gradients From Deluxe Paint.
Colours were made in Grafx2.
