.About the intro.
-----------------
This is an emergency xmas 4K intro, because the demo that we were planning to release
at Under Construction/GhettoScene 2014 is not remotely ready. To keep with the holiday
spirit, we bring you this cautionary tale, teaching you that violence never solves anything.
El Blanco whipped up the music in one evening, the snowman and Santa were modelled at
home, but everything else was coded at the partyplace. Hence, it's not exactly
speed-optimized :( The compomachine here has one of those Titan Black cards that the
German compo orgos pass around, so it runs more than fast enough on the compo machine.
On my laptop with an nvidia GT 765, it runs at 15 to 25 FPS in full HD. If your machine
has a weak videocard, I suggest using the low-res version.
After a small fix, at home, it runs on AMD cards too (AMD doesn't like the ^ in glsl it
seems). I tried to support Intel HD, but after fixing the only error (as opposed to the
tens of warnings) it gave, on my Optimus laptop it now crashes the Intel videocarddriver.
A more recent version may or may not crash, but updating Intel drivers on Optimus seems to
be a pain in the rear (uninstall nvidia & intel, disable optimus in bios, let Windows install
a vanilla intel driver, update that, reinstall nvidia) that I can't be bothered to do that
only to verify the occurence of a problem I can't fix.
