The production was tested on the following Graphics Hardware:

While testing the Demo strange graphics bugs on GeForce 4 cards appeared.
Also in older FAN productions like "00101010", which use the same engine.
I´m sure the engine worked on GeForce 4, so it seems to be a bug in the latest Nvidia drivers.
I will check this out, next Weekend.
So hopefully a GeForce 4 patch for the Demo will be released next week.

15 years oxyron party invitation

after 15 years in the so-called demoscene - oxyron
is finally going to organize its first party in flensburg/ northern germany
(very close to the danish border.)
we would be happy to see lots of you ppl there.
lets go for some general informations:

- the party will take place february 23rd to february 25th in flensburg!
check our website at www.bequem-von-zuhause.de for more detailed
information. (we are going to release the address and some travel informations there
a few weeks before the party starts.)
theres an english and a german version of the page (sry for lame english btw)
- all platforms are welcome (c64, amiga, atari, pc... whatever) since oxyron was/ is
active on various platforms (c64, amiga - and on PC under the FAN label)
- we have a location with space for around 200 ppl (with hardware ofcourse)
its a small hall in a school-building.

- we expect around 100 ppl to come. but we cant really imagine how many ppl will
be interested to be part of this event. so its possible theres only 50 ppl - and
on the other hand its possible we end up with a hall filled with 200 ppl. plz help
us to make this party a success by telling all your scene-interested friends about
this event, and spreading this invitation-demo. thanks alot.
- theres lots of space for parking (even 100 or more cars are not a real problem)
close to the building.
- smoking inside the hall is forbidden, but outside something like a nice park
is surrounding the building. so theres a good place for smoking and relaxing. btw plz
dont leave your garbage there.
- the entrance fee will be 20,00 Euros (no other currencies).
girls pay the half price (10,00 Euros)
- this party is non-commercial. we take the money because we have some costs we cannot
(and dont want to) pay alone since some things like the hall, technical equipment and
so on are very expensive. we hope thats understandable. compared to other partys this
price should be ok.
- will there be competitions? ofcourse there will be competitions. its not 100% talked
out yet what kind of competitions we are going to do. it depends a little on how many
ppl are going to sign up at our website.
- minimum age for attenders will be 18 years. after having some discussions on the
csdb board about this rule it will be like this now: we will keep the rule this way,
but make exceptions if someone is wellknown by some other attenders who tell us that
person of age under 18 is ok. we didnt make the rule to discriminate younger ppl but not
to get into trouble with the german law - since we would be responsible for that
person (its not allowed to drink the hard stuff like vodka for example. theres more
such laws - and we dont want to spend our time on controlling what some ppl do.)
its not us being responsible for the law, sorry.
- we are not responsible for your equipment. so please have an eye on it yourself.
if its stolen plz dont blame it on us.
and we cant take over responsibility for any damages. even if its caused by any kind
of accident with the power. if you worry about this plz dont bring hardware (ofcourse
we hope you bring hardware with you but we had to let you know about this)
- it is allowed to drink beer at the party place - but limit that to a reasonable amount
please. we would favour it if you dont drink the hard stuff like vodka or whiskey but
its not forbidden. if you are too drunk and cause trouble or annoy other ppl we will
have to throw you out of the party. we hope that wont happen. if you damage something
you will have to pay the repairs.
if you vomit - you will have to clean it up yourself. if you are not able to clean it up
yourself, you will have to pay 10,00 Euros to the organizer that has to do it instead.
- plz dont only come to play games or do some leeching. this is not a lan-party for gamers.
its made for sceners who want to do something creative in a good atmosphere. people
coming to this event should have a scene-background or be very interested in scene-related
things.
- keep your kitchen equipment like microwaves, coffee machines and so on - at home plz. we
try to guarantee a steady power supply, and such machines are counterproductive for that.
we will try to sell coffee for a very low price (maybe 20 euro cents or something like that)
or give it out for free (depends on how many visitors are coming and how much money we have
left for such things.)
- it looks like we will have some kind of catering for croissants and stuff like that in the
morning and in the evening. we also try to make a good deal with a lokal pizza delivery service
for you to buy pizza at low prices.
- shops and a snack bar are around 600m - 800m away from the partyplace. two burger-king restaurants
are easy to reach by car.
- we are going to have a seperated sleeping room. it should be big enough for 40 or 50 people sleeping
at the same time. since we dont think everyone is going to sleep at the same time that room should
be nearly big enough for everyone. dont forget to bring your sleeping-bags...
- we will have some competitions but cant announce them here at the moment, because we actually
dont have an idea of how many ppl are going to come. if its only like 50 or 60 ppl we will go for
some fun compos only. if theres around 100 we are going for a "serious" mixed compo for all productions
and all platforms. if more are going to come we will have more detailed compos (maybe sorted by
8-bit, 16-bit... and so on) i think. plz check our website for updates on this.
plz register yourself at our website so we can see how many ppl are going to come to plan for the
competition. same goes for competition prices. the more ppl come and pay the entrance fee - and the
more serious competitions we are going to have - the more and better prices we can give out.
check the website sometimes.
- we will have a big screen and a sound-system there for your entertainment.
- if you plan to be part of a big network you should bring your own switch (well atleast some ppl need to
bring it, because we only have switches for connecting around 40 computers.) but since we think some ppl
wont bring hardware or bring old 8-bit machines that probably will be enough.
- have lots of fun and lets make it a good event all together ;-) dont forget to check our website for more
informations and updates - because its not possible to put all the informations in here.
