IMOPORTANT!
===========
Bugs:
There are two known bugs in this release:

- Worst case scenario: The game wont run at all. We are truly sorry for this, but the game just won't run on some computers.

- If the path is too long (about 38 characters), the program may not run. The simple solution to this is to unpack the game to C:\Rymdskepp or some similar short path.

We have no fucking clue why any of this is happening, so if you have any idea, please send a mail to goran.nehlin@ju-jutsu.c.se

The game concept:
=================

Kill your opponent with all means necessary. To do this you have your ship, an arsenal of deadly weapons and your swift fingers.

Controlling the ships:
======================

In the game you have seven buttons to control you ship. The buttons are:

		player 1	player 2
Forward:	r,		up
Backward:	f,		down
Left:		d.		left
Right:		g,		right
Fire:		1,		i
Boost:		2,		o
Change:		3,		p

Using combinations of these key you can do do all sorts of funky stuff. Here is a complete list of commands:

Move ship forward:	Forward (duh)
Boost forward:		Boost + Forward
Boost backward:		Backward
Turn:			Left/Right
Aim:			Boost + Left/Right
Fire weapon:		Fire
Reload weapon:		Change + Fire
Change weapon:		change + Left/Right

The ships availible are:
========================

-Gunship
-Speeder
-Scout
-Wasp

The Gunship:
Heaviest of all ships but at the cost of speed and manoeuvrability. Its massive hull can take huge ammounts of damage before breaking in, but this at the cost of the agility of a pregnant hippopotamus.

The Scout:
In contrast to the gunship, this little rascal is insanely quick and manouverable, but anything heavier then a fly will shred it to parts. If you have the reflexes and skills to steer this ship, your opponent might just find himself unable to hit you as you dodge all attacks.

The Speeder:
As the name implies this is a fast ship. Even faster than the Scout, but not as quick turning and with greater hull.

The Wasp:
Slower then the speeder, but easier to manouver. The wasp also has greater hull than the speeder, but it is much more easy to hit from the front.

Weapons availible:
==================

-CTAD-4000 Minigun
-CTAD-CX Corona Device
-CTAD-LD2 Hydra Laser
-CTAD-A1 Alpha Cannon
-CTAD-R40 Doomsday
-KR-8 Chaingun
-KR-17 Rocket Swarm
-Plasma launcher
-Mines
-KR-7 Armageddon Dildo

Minigun
The CTAD-4000 Minigun, capable of delivering 4000 high velocity overheated bullets straight into the face of your enemy.

Corona Device
Fresh from the experiment labs of CyborTech Arms Division comes the Corona Device, which shoots a halo of unstable, charged, super heated particles. While deadly enough on short range, the short lived particles decompose soon, making it useless at longer distances.

Hydra Laser
Yet another highly experimental weapon from CTAD, the hydra laser defies conventional weapon technology. Relying not as much on brute strength, the Hydra has the unique ability to to ignore enemy shields and deliver the punch right to the opponents hull.

Alpha Cannon
The Alpha Cannon uses electricity to shoot its projectile with unimaginable speed, cutting through any shield. However, after a shot, it has to recharge for quite some time, leaving you vulnerable for attack. This weapon, if controlled correct can be very deadly at long distances.

Doomsday
Alone the rockets are quite unimpressive, but facing a hoard of them, you have all right to be scared. With its 40 rockets you will send an incautious opponent to his doom in an instant.

Chaingun
Not as high rate of fire as the CTAD-4000 Minigun, the KR-8 Chaingun from Krasnij Rasvijet makes up for it with higher calibre bullets with more pleasure per shot.

Rocket Swarm
The same concept as the Doomsday but in another format. The 17 rockets can be very deadly, especially at close range.

Plasma Launcher
As a spin-off effect of the mining development research comes the Plasma Launcher. Not Intended as a weapon in the beginning, but it sure is effective as one. As with the corona device, it is best used in close range.

Mines
To protect its assets Krasnij Rasvijet developed these highly effective mines but made a minor modification for space combat. The mines auto destruct after a few seconds to minimize the risk for the pilot of beeing caught in his own mine field.

Armageddon Dildo
The KR-7 Armageddon Dildo really packs a punch. Originally intended to strke Huge Star Cruisers, this mofo cuts through shields and hull as if it were non-existent. The downsides are that it is really slow and the reload time is painfully long.

"Hah, harmless!"
	-the last words of Bobby Smith, seconds before impact with the KR-7

The config file
===============
The options are stored in the file config.cfg as following:

name1
name2
map
lives
ship1
weapon1
weapon2
.
.
weapon5
ship2
weapon6
.
.
.
weapon10

where weapon 1 through 5 belongs to player1 and 5 through 10 to player2.
Feel free to edit the config if you like, though the game will probably chrash if you write something stupid. Names shouldn't be longer than 16 chars.

Command line options
====================

Using the command line you can pass arguments to the game when you initialize it. To pass an argument to the game simply write like this:

...\Rymdskepp.exe -arg1 -arg2

where "..." is the path to "Rymdskepp.exe" and "-arg1" and "-arg2" are the arguments that you wish to pass to it. this can be done either by typing the line directly in the command prompt, or by creating a shortcut and setting it as target. The following options are available:

-nosound / -ns	= turns off the sound
-800		= sets the resolution to 800*600
-640		= sets the resolution to 640*480
-320		= sets the resolution to 320*240
-window / -w	= runs the game in window mode

Note:
- If no argument is given about the resolution, the game will run at default, 1024*768
- If several arguments are specifying the same thing, the last one is the one that will count. ".../Rymdskepp.exe -320 -800" would mean that the game is run in 800*600 resolution.
- Arguments that does nothing are simply ignored.
