Yes! Dear Sceners, right now in front of your eyes there is the
invitation for another copy party which will be held in our beautiful
country. After the long combat with organization problems, with a
little bit of timidity:) we - the Prototype group along with our
friends - have a great honour and genuine pleasure to invite you -
coders, musicans, swappers, everyone involved in the scene in one way
or another - to arrive to a very unconventional demo-festival which
covers under a mystical name of Symphony!
We'd like to ensure you that (at least in our plans) it's going to be
a party which will change the point of view on the other ones, which
we all have attended. We surely aren't original when we say we'd like
to go back to the roots and fully "underground" atmosphere, because
it's something every real scener wants - and especially the organizer.
And yes - it also isn't unique - we're going to create (with your
help) the party which hadn't taken place in Poland before - without
Quake, lamers, platform-wars, without the crappy "umc-umc" party...
Dear friends. We invite you to THREE DAYS OF DEMOSCENE FESTIVAL in the
best meaning of these words. The schedule won't change, there'll be
competitions (wow:)), boozing, chattering and... all the standard
stuff. But we've prepared a few surprises, which we belive to cause
the Symphony be more to your liking.
Now goes the RAW MEAT!
When?
September, namely 14-16, the third weekend of that month. We've chosen
such a date because of you and common phenomenon known among the
students as "the September campaign". Really many people have asked us
to change the date. The party will last for three days, it'll start at
Friday early in the morning and finish at Sunday noon - after the
prize ceremony. We are aware of the fact that at the same time
Lahve/RSN+MWI is going to make a copy party (well... a little bigger
booze-party) in Czech and some people want to go there, but after we
had discussed the above with Lahve we decided that who want to go to
Czech will do that anyway, but we can't change the date. But if little
people will come to Symphony (because of Czech party) it'll be a pity
- and afterwards the opinion that polish scene is lazy because noone
wants to make a party will spread among the sceners:(. And still, try
to sell the idea of changing the date of Apocalypse to Lahve. We can't
do it now - it's a lot easier to change the date of a joint meeting
than the one of three days party.
Where?
I suppose that little of you have the idea where is Trzcianka - small,
picturesque place. The majority of you will probably ask yourself
something like "where did I put my geographical atlas":). Stop. Stay
cool - we're going to explain it. Trzcianka is located near the
railroad from Pila to Krzyz, so it's in the Wielkopolska province
(look at the maps), around 90km from Poznan and 25 from Pila (and it
isn't near Bydgoszcz - Payda). Don't be afraid - it's a lot easier to
go THERE than to Gravity:). If you go by a train, you have to change
to another one in Krzyz or Pila, but it shouldn't be a problem. From
Wroclaw it's about 4 hours, from Warsaw 5, from Szczecin about 2.5. In
any case, as someone smart said "even if the party will be organized
in devil's ass, the scene will come anyway". So we consider this part
finished - you can find more information and tutorials how to come on
our webpage.
Party
Partyplace is the building of the biggest disco in that area "U
Kojaka", which can house about 700 people (crowd), but for 200-250 -
which hopefully will come - it should be comfortable. Of course we
cannot guarantee luxuries like in Mariott, but we hope nobody will
become disaffected by discomforts:). In the hall plays around 4500
watt and shines a few thousand of lights. And about the equipment -
the biggest problem is as always a good projector. At firts we were
supposed to have two for free but finally we have to pay:(. We'd like
it to be good, so it'll cost us a bit. Bigscreen is 4x3m, and the
place is ideally blackouted so it's not a problem watching anything
even in the middle of the day. Unfortunately in the building there's
no place for a sleeping room, but we've managed to solve this - nearby
the partyplace we'll pitch two military tents with mattresses and (if
needed) heating. Besides, a few steps away there are two holiday camps
with cheap houses (around 20zl per person/day) and two hotels.
Additionaly, around 200m away there is a clean lake, beach, tennis
courts, football pitch and volleyball ground. In September there
shouldn't be many people, so we can do what we want:). Security guards
WON'T be professionals as most of the organizers promise, but there'll
be people who'll take care of your safety. We'll back to this later...

Cash
Let's be honest - prices of passes haven't changed for a few years and
all other prices have. So you'll be allowed to come in for 40pln (and
this won't change). We know that some of you will say that we are
making business out of the scene and we are... (everybody knows), but
we can do nothing about it. People with their computers come in also
for 40pln but receive a little gift made of glass or tin:). Girls and
foreigners come in for free - and we mentioned that disco, you can
find your company there:). And OF COURSE the famous MAT/Ozone, even if
he were foreigner, also comes in for free.
After the party we'll make a report about costs available to all of
you so that you could state yourself that making a three days party
for (let's say) 200 people isn't a piece of cake... and if we'll be
left with some cash, we'd like to invite anyone interested to help us
spend this on drink:). Btw, from the polls at our webpage it seems
that 70% of people is willing to pay even a bit more so we have YOUR
permission!
Compos
We've predicted (or at least we think so) many additional events,
which are intented to make your stay at Symphony more pleasant. We've
planned two (or maybe even three) concerts. In all probability on of
them will be a concert of local fames ("The Ketchups" - famous hits of
Kurt C., Rage Against the Machine and H. Vondraczkowa:)) and the band
who plays an ethic music (drums, guitars, saxophone and flute). We
hope to invite one more (jazz!) band.
Like during all decent parties we ensure many crazy-compos which will
be run by the three scene DJs - comrade Zorka19/PSB^PZPR, citizen
Zabora and the third eager and steadfast competitor. Besides: wild
party at the beach, volleyball tournament, graffiti compo, stalking,
firecamp, grill, many girls, cheap bear (2.5pln/0.5l) and! ATTENTION!!
ATTENTION! - perhaps one hot meal for everyone! Fastfood bar is opened
24h/day, besides around 300 meters away there are shops and
restaurant.

to help us with organizing the whole thing - we don't have a

enough to bring his own machine and run the whole compo on it
he'll be treated as one of the organizers and will come in for
free - so please reconsider the offer:).

o Well, it is starting to be loud abroad... really loud. For
instance at a Commodore portal - www.c64.sk:
"At the end of the HOT summer full of HOT parties, another
HOT party is announced. Get the invitation here. This time
it is Symphony 2001 party held for the first time on 14.-16.
september 2001 in Trzianka/Poland. According to the well
written and definitely not boasting invitation text - this
party seems to be well organised. Interesting is the claim
that traditionally on Polish parties, foreigners go in for
free. One more good reason to check it. Thanx to Fenex/Arise
- coder of the invitation, for sending it to us."
o We apologize to Satellite party organisers for publishing an
unverified piece of information (that there won't a Satellite
party). Madbart^Appendix informed us that it "is yet unknown
whether the party will take place or not" - but it doesn't mean
it won't.
o It just so sadly happens that on the party weekend, a small
acompanying event occours in Trzcianka. Well, the mentioned event
is (small, right...) The Europian Speedboat Championchip
Trzcianka 2001. So we expect an uncontrolled flow of people. (See

renting a house aruond the party place that the reservation has
to be made by the end of august (there might be problems later)

o The response to the news below totally exceeded my expectations
(BloodMan). As a result I received the transation the next day.

German vesion of invitation is about to be finished. Of course I
would like to say thank you to everyone who applied for
translatig but was just too late.
o Symphony will be one of the few REAL multiparties - many C64
sceners declared their presence
o on the 21.08.2001 you'll be able to download invitro for C-64
from http://www.symphony.w.pl - hopefully PC and Amiga versions
too.
o after the visit on SLC we realized that the whole polish scene
is coming to Trzcianka :)

directions :)) to Mekka&Symposium 2002.
o We've made the set of commercials/banners available HERE
o I've counted the surveys - about 240 people confirmed their
arrival. Accorng to stat4u the page has been visited by more
than 1000 people (15.07.2001), with "refresh" it gives over
1800! We're a bit afraid because of it - the partyplace isn't
prepared to receive more than let's say 350!
Don't bring your families with you :).
o We've got about a dozen productions announced, both for PC and
Amiga! C64 scene is also waking up... Keep the spirit alive!
o We're going to promote the party at Assembly 2001, therefore
attract more foreigners to show themselves/their productions at
our party. The action will be conducted by our man from the
USA - Pyromaniac/Paragon5
o We're sorry, but we didn't manage to convince Lahve/Mawi+Reason
to change the date of Apocalypse Meeting 3 (yes we know that
some people may choose Czech, but believe us... we tried.
Respective log is on www, but it's you to make the decision -
especially after this sentence: "I won't change date because
of 10 Poles".
o Invitros for PC (by Procreation) and Amiga (surprise) are going
to be released soon. We're looking for brave enough to code the
one for C64...
o Compo rules have changed. 6 minutes limit for demos has gone.
o We've announced the Symphony-anthem compo, but there's no
response. We'd like to remind that the author of best music
will enter the party for free, and his zak will be used in
productions promoting the party. Entries and questions can be
adressed to: silentriot@interia.pl. It's worth it!
o We've signed a deal with the place where the party will be held
(disco "U Kojaka"). We've managed to negotiate quite good
conditions, so you can be sure that the party will take place
where we've told you it will.
o There'll be no security guards for the whole party, with an
exception of Friday to Saturday, when about 300 meters
away there'll be another disco. For that night some guys with
"Security" ID will show up.
o We're still searching for sponsors which is a little bit harder
than we thought. Well - Trzcianka is not Warszawa nor Wroclaw :(.
o We've got another Amiga compo machine (A4000 040/40 + PPC604/233.

o We really don't know how it happened, but in the previous version
we didn't mention MAT/Ozone as a person who enters for free.
Sorry... and we confirm that MAT comes in freely, as well as
foreigners and women.
o It's possible that we'll do the Summer Cinema under the sky, based
on old analog tapes :). Mis, Rejs, and so on! It can be the hit of
the season, especially for classic fans, a number of which are
involved in the scene :)

which is OSiR Trzcianka. In other words - in case of troubles
they'll call the police.

OLD NEWS: (PREINFO)
Since few weeks a group of people do everything they can in order
to be able to invite you to a little, beautiful city of Trzcianka
located in Wielkopolska province, for a three day long demofestival
codenamed Symphony 1.0.
Yes, it's past the point of no return. We do all we can to make
another copy party in the best style, referring to the best
traditions of polish parties.
For now we can only say that we've got a place for 250-300
people with the very best audio equipment (3000W - it's the
biggest disco in the area), excellent blackout and disco-like
lighting system. Now we're looking for a company to rent the
projector from (we can't afford ranting crap - that's why it
takes so long) and a bigscreen sized 4*3.
Party place is located in very charming region, nearby two clean
lakes, another disco, tennis courts two football pitches and a
holiday camp. It's possible to rent room there or in a hotel nearby.
That's it for now. By releasing this info we'd like to book the
September for our party.
It's unlikely, but it may happen - if we'll be forced to withdraw
our proposal we'll inform you as soon as possible in order not to
take up time for any other parties.
