    1. FOR YOUR INFORMATION
    =======================

    "Proxy" is a computer happening that has been organized twice
    previously. The event has generally been considered nice and relaxed,
    but we've also received a lot of negative feedback. This year, we will
    again try to do our best and aim at a satisfying experience. So please
    remember to behave, thereby helping us in the organizing.

    2. THE PLACE
    ============

    The event will take place in Kannus, Finland, at the "lukio" school,
    just like in 1998. This year, we are able to use the dining hall as
    well, so there will be a lot more space. Kannus is a town with 6500
    inhabitants, and the distances from bigger towns are as follows:

    Helsinki  - 503 km
    Rovaniemi - 373 km
    Oulu      - 166 km
    Kokkola   -  41 km
    Ylivieska -  38 km

    The place is less than half a kilometer from the town center, where
    you will find anything you need. The two fast-food kiosks, three
    restaurants, two pizzerias and four shops at the center will guarantee
    your comfort.

    3. THE TIME
    ===========

    The magic dates are October 6th-8th, and the doors will open at
    eight o'clock in the evening.

    4. THE PRICING
    ==============

    The entrance fee for male humans is 120 Finnish marks. For your money
    you get a handsome badge, the right to use the Internet connection,
    the right to vote, a computer place and the opportunity to take part
    in the competitions. However, if you contact us at least two days
    beforehand with your name and contact information, you get in for
    100 FIM. You'll find our contact address at the end of this file.

    For ladies, the entrance fee is 50 FIM. Ladies with tickets are
    entitled to the same rights as men.
