The music of Vegas:
Song Name | File Name | Where in the /demos/music/ directory on cdrom.com
                        it can be found.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Inner Turmoil | v-inner.s3m | /songs/s3m/1995/v/v-inner.zip
My 1st release, a mellow guitar piece. Although I believe I released
my music too early, DemoNews gave it ***+, and people tell me its good.

Moving On | v-moving.s3m | Not on cdrom.com
My next work after Inner Turmoil, this song was only released via dcc
on #trax. I still have it if its wanted. A piano rock song, its catchy,
but predictable.

Helpless Cries | v-cries.s3m | /songs/s3m/1995/v/v-cries.zip
Helpless Cries is a somber piano song to a catchy beat. With violin and
other strings it has a nice backdrop for the lead. Simplistic at times,
but good overall.

Nightmare Flight | v-flight.s3m | /songs/s3m/1995/v/v-flight.zip
Nightmare Flight was my first true attempt at techno music. It didn't
turn out as techno-ish as I wanted it to, but it is still a decent piece.
It has an eerie string backdrop to the drums and synth lead.

Order in Chaos | v-order.s3m | /disks/1996/m/myst0296.zip
Order in Chaos is the song that got me into my current group, Mystique.
Looking back on it, I don't know why they accepted me. I consider this
my worst release. Its techno, with a synth lead.

Search for the Missing Link | v-search.s3m | /disks/1996/m/myst0296.zip
Search is a rock-ish jazzy song. It has a trumpet lead with a piano
playing the chord progression. This song also marks some improvement on
drum lines for me. My only complaint about it is that the chord progression
never alters from the original. Reviewed by Kal Zakath in TraxWeekly.

Getting By | v-getby.s3m | /disks/1996/m/myst0396.zip
Getting By is a song that I tracked while I was still in the mindset of
Search for the Missing Link. Therefore, it came out similar to v-search.
More laid back than v-search, it has guitar leads with a piano on the
progression, again.

Dance of the Dead | v-dead.s3m | /disks/1996/m/myst03up.zip
Dance of the Dead is another techno song by me. It had great bass and
drums, with a tweaked synth lead. Hard to describe, check it out. Or
ask Benzel what he thinks of it. :)

The River Eternal | v-river.s3m | /songs/s3m/1996/v/v-river.zip
This song is still one of my favorites. It has an echoing water drip
that plays throughout the song, accompanied by somber bass strings, a
serious drum line, and reverberating piano leads, and a sad siner lead
during the chorus. Mick Rippon gave it a great review in TraxWeekly, so
check that out for more info.

The New World Medley | v-new.s3m | /disks/1996/m/myst0496.zip
Written as a demo song for New World Computing while trying to get a
job, this song is a definite milestone work for me. This is my 1st song
with a truly varying chord progression, multiple leads playing in harmony,
good drums, and high sample quality. It is a medley of 3 parts, it has
techno, followed by orchestratic, and it concludes with some jazz.

Don't Stop Now | v-dont.s3m | /disks/1996/m/myst0496.zip
This is an upbeat jazz song, very catchy. Jazzy bass and piano lay
down the chord progression, and electric piano and trumpet play out the
leads. Its funky shuffle will have you tapping your fingers to the beat.

The Symphony of the Ages | v-ages.s3m | /songs/s3m/1996/v/v-ages.zip
This is an orchestratic piece of five movements, although I think I
released this one too early. The leads are simplistic in parts, but
other parts are beautiful. Reviewed by Fred in TraxWeekly, who gave it
86.7%.

Back in the Daze | v-daze.s3m | /songs/s3m/1996/v/v-daze.zip
This is a easy club jazz piece. A realistic bass with swingy drums
play behind the beautiful piano lead, and later the mellow sax. I like it
but don't bother getting it if you dont enjoy jazz.
