This text was written during the party . I hope that you
somehow catch the feeling and make up your own mind on this...
1st day :
Keith 3O3 at the keys : hi! aeh =) ... it's about half past
twelve now... and acryl and me are sitting in front of his
shitty pc .. he told me to write some stuff .. mhh ..
hope mekka won't be so sucking crowded as tp5 ...
okay that's it ... until now ...
we'll write some more crap as soon as we have arrived...
Acryl here ! : ehm .. shit the " shuttle " bus didn't appear
ehm .. ok the party place is quite small but there are already
sum nice guys here ! keith is talking shit ( as always :) )
[some time later] i just met Krash of Acme/B2B/FBK/INX & ex-
Peanuts jo ... long list i think .. ok he just showed me his
contribution to the ansicompo ( really kewl i think )jo i
give the keys to him now ....
well.. there i (krash) am now.. hmm.. what to say?! my opinion
about the partyplace: SMALL! well.. let's see.. at the moment i
have got no inspiration.. think i'll do some smalltalk now..
2nd day :
wahh... keith at the keys again ... the ansi compo has been held
two hours ago .. mhh was quite high quality as acryl claims.. =)
right now we're just waiting for the 4channel compo to get
started... ahh! the message on the bigscreen says it starts within
the next few minutes .. so i'll better leave you alone now ...
DAC is writin'... I arrived at da Party-Place a lil' bit
seriously damaged. ...I'ts not allowed to smoke here. Oh my god..
Keith3O3: okee, okee, 4Channel Compo has just begun...
1st tune: "trash"
sounds quite chip-a-like... was rather short indeed....
2nd tune: "back to the roots"
hehe .. this is a chip tune! ... ohjeah.. how original =)
..and it's the loudest one i've ever heard .. ;)
.. the track just crashed. cubic player rules...
3rd tune: "impact"
groovy beat in the beginin' ... goa touched ...
lotsa 303filtering ... 808percussions ...
...sounds okay to me ... best one so far.
4th tune: "moments"
Piano introduction... piano main part ... piano ending.. =)
hey! it's a piano tune!
quite melodic... soft percussion approaching...
a vocal singing some non recognizable stuff...
...too boring and repetive...
5th tune: "exodus"
synth intro; sounds crappy... unprofessional...
nothing more to say.. pure crap.
stop it pleeze! ... puahh this was a REAL torture..
6th tune: "zero-gravity"
tekknoish... baseline kicks ... but it's a sampleline.
typical pc-tekkno. Standard quality.
ain't bad but nothing special... off to the next tune...
7th tune: "acid bitch"
as the title already says it's acid...
..it kicks..mucha applause ... i also liked it ..
well off we go ... no.8
8th tune: "abstract garden"
sounds soft and relaxing... nice percussions.
chip elements coming in ... professional sounding...
ambient rules.. -
jungle alike part comes in... it's also the endpart.
9th tune: "elite goes elite"
tekkno alike .. with a vocal ripped from ace of base ..
sucks... next tune.
10th tune: "brainlinked"
this is my sucky tune ... i won't write anything further
as i must say i even don't like it myself... =)
11th tune: "orientation north"
hardcore alike... .. cubic player crashed again...
track started again. very repetive and short.
12th tune: "light and shade"
they started ft2 now ... but the tune doesn't seem to work..
aahh.. now it does... it's the one from mefis/funk!...
trancy stuff .. ain't bad... rather melodic...
okay ... 4channel compo is over ... think i'll vote the 12th
entry... all in all the compo was tekkno oriented.
it's 03:05am now and i think i gotta go to do some certain
business at the toilet now ... bye for now.
some comment on the 4channel compo by Acryl :
as always some dudes tried to disturb the compo by playing
their " bla bla bla " samples , that really sucked ...
ehm ... ok that's it for now...
by the way the deadline for the graphics compo was moved from
23.00 to 4.00 am ... hmmm what do we think of that ?

I saw my friend Keith3O3 first time here on the Partyplace.
We have quite a lot of phun with many enthusiastic dudes
and unfortunately no dudettes. At the local "Imbiss" there
is no beer or proper food avaiable...
...only some rotten BSE contaminaited sandwiches =|-)
oh ... moment,... SURPRiSE COMPO...
there are two kinds in this compo:
1. chiptune - max size 13kb and
2. fastintro with some certain caracteristics...
okay .. i and keith are going to do sum chip stuff now...

cauz the deadline for the gfx compo was now moved to
8.00 at saturday... hehehehe it's quite funny ... they
don't seem to have enough entries... or what ?

this one's from sky/xography and it shows a gate with a
path which leads through it .. it's well done; as far as i am
a musician i can't judge this more precisely. sorry... =)
[Climax/Ambient Move/Speedy] Now it's 14.00 - the 4kb intro
competition will start soon ...
1st intro : "Little Big Demo" by Sanction
This intro normally had general midi sound but it wasn't
possible to replay the sound ...
Quite long intro - but really okay! Some nice environment
mapping stuff (one with wobbling) a zoom rotator and a
tunnel flight.
2nd intro : "World" by Furball, Gumball & Big Bear
The first 4k with sound I've ever heard and seen on PC!
-little bit short - rotating globe - quite nice...
3rd intro : "Chaos" by CSB
Old effects like shitbobs or fire effects ... Not that good ..
next one please
4th intro : "No time" by Funk!
nothing spectacular... -some old effects,but nice design
some cool texts - nice to watch
5th intro : "ASCII 4" by Perfection
Interference effect - zooming text - a slow fractal zoomer
Three glenzing zoom rotator which looked quite good ...
But not that good ...
Acryl at the keys again... hmmm really smooth to type on this
keyboard :) ... ( i think it' the one from Climax )
i just reaLIZEd that i don' have anything to drink :( ...
and all the shops are closed now :( ... but one little
" Trinkhalle " had some drinks for me :) ... so i'm happy

whow... sounds like 250bpm gabber shit track ...
... really amazing stuff ;)),
seems like he tried to cover rob gee ...

this one runs under digitracker .. without sound btw..
okay ... now it's runnin' ... synth intro with the gus
patches as it seems ...
..unfortunately the intro is the only part...

sounds amateur like and simple...
breakbeat a like drumline comes in...
the tune is based on a boring c-d#-a# structure ...
kinda repetive ...

massive bassline ... tekknoish...
303acid sequence approaching... breakbeats here and there...
sounds rather usual... standard quality ... nothing innovative.
vocals screaming something unrecognizable...
5th tune: " MORTON'S WAY "
it's the corrupted entry no.5 which is now repeated...
aeh.. the intro was kinda weird tekkno stuff...
...seems like he just wanted to shock the listener ..
now it turned into a harmonic(?) guitar ballad.
tune slows down and a really boring part appears ...
7th tune: " DELIRIOUS "
house track definately ...
yes! tune is corrupted ... cubic player just creates fuzz...
...and now it hangs.
2nd try ... not bad ... vocal suxx
It's an HARTHOUSE remix... with an resistance-b like bass

track consists mainly of sample-lines...
now a piano comes in ... trance like..
what a crappy performance ... next one..
simple pattern structure ... sounds like pure fuzz.

acid intro ... doomed like atmosphere ...
sounds okay .. it's a bit monotonous ... jepp it's a
real acid track .. i personally like it.
... it's just a bit too boring for a compo tune.

10th tune: " VOICE TO YOUR MIND "
acryl is now taking over the keys ...
again a techno like tune ... 303 samplez are on the way ...
hmmm i think it's a quite melodic tune ... but the strings
are too silent too hear ..
[DAC] is taking over the control:
a little bit goa touched the beatline is quite catchy and
i think it's one of the best tunes so far ...
11th tune: " GUITARPHOBIA "
a track by Keith3O3 (i Think)...
metal touched... kewl bass... but no kind of electronic
dance music... simply KUHL... nice Purple motion effects
no problem for this guy.. ooh a fast part included too...
a mix of accustic and electronic effects... flagolette guitar
a track performed for a competition... very interisting this
piece of art... and not short.. (5:o3mins)
12th tune: " NIGHT CLUB CHARLATAN "
Guitar intro like cat stevens... Radio like music...
a trumpet solo follows... tooooooooooo soft...
there's a certain "kick" missing in the tune
13th tune: " KIND OF LEVITY "
ugly kinda pseudo detuned "(hard)trance" stuff. ...
before playing da next string the older one stops to play. ...
really suckin' [!] i have a "windows" key on my keyboard. ...
its the right momenmt to use it. in one sentence:

trancy no techno... very good slow breakbeats.. mellow groove.
a great variety of parts in this tune...

a solo string.. ..another solo string... and the same again
a bass and a hihat... a drop.. (first minute has passed)
pm like leads.. with a small echo.. sum portamentos
ha.. da same but one octave downer... a cymbalcrashkick
an a little bit slower ... thats all? (next tune)
always the same ... first post - outpost :)
16th tune: " THE AFRICAN DREAM "
typicall computer sound... accustic samples..again and again
these pm leads..i heard it's by mefis/funk
I'm not able to judge abaut it...
17th tune: " ALLEGRO (PRESTO) V2 "
Piano..unstructed dynamic (i think(and I'm not alone
with my opinion)
18th tune: " WIEDER-SEHN-SUCHT "
I have no thumb-down key..
a heavy guitar riff
19th tune: " BEYOND THE UNKNOWN "
da old C-G-C theme sum accords... .portamentos and so on. ...
2oth tune: " METAL SINFONIE "
da begin sounds like DOOM-STYLED gabba..
the rest without any basis... sounds like someone writing
its first MOD. ...
21st tune: " DIE LIEBESTOLLE VOTING DISK "
badest quality.. ... a modfile created in the beginning
of the 8oth. peraps it sounds better in 2 channel modus.
22nd tune: " THE POUNZING SHOE "
oh nice... birds are singing.. a bit FISHTROLIKE...
23rd tune: " DON'T TOUCH IT "
a jungle track ... simple breakbeats... there's a crowd
screaming in the background... really nothing you're gonna
miss on your hd... sounds also a bit confusing.
24th tune: " BABE "
crappy rave rave music this time ...
i won't comment this any further.
25th track: " TRANCE-GOD-3-176BPM "
Acryl typin': ...
aha ... that's DAC ... quite hardcore.. with a neat RR sample :)
that's cool :) ... driving rhythm with a typical DAC baseline...
various tracks in this one ... gabba like part :) ...
snare keeping to the basedrum ... aha ... trancegod II the
main riff is it i think .... but muchos faster ...
neat filter effects...
( ok i like hardcore :)[i have to admit that ] ) not much
applause .. but i think the crowed is much too bored ..
( keith3O3: this surely is the best "tekkno" tune in the
whole compo... it's a pitty that it wasn't played earlier..)
26th tune: "SM-COOL"
ok ... this one is much smoother now .. slow and mellow
strings .. but i think that snare and ride don't "communicate"
with each other .. hmm filter effect now .. but it continues
as it started .. rather melodic .. but nothing special ...
( i think darkness would like it ;) )
27th tune: " "
kewl name for a tune .. sounds strange .. maybe ambient??!?
relaxing name .. but it starts rather fast ...
driving baseline again .. .and a kewl 303 ... progressive
acid ... and i have to agree with the others .. a new RR member
perhaps :> ...
conclusion : good... tekkno .. only for those who like
such stuff ...
28th tune: " WAR OF NERES "
OH NO ! ... that's not that good ... as far as i am concerned
it's typical computer music .. the strings are sounding not
good .. and the banjo is quite misplaced :)
rather short ..
29th tune: " FUTURE "
ARGHHHH! DO WE HAVE ONE AFTER THIS !?!?!?
Computer pop i think but not at it's best ... ( this is
probably the longest multichannel compo i 've ever
expierenced ) ... the song is not that bad ..
30th tune: " KEWLIZER "
That one is from Alpha.... again pop - dancefloor -
music .... the vocals don't fit in there ... much to
loud ... catchy riff ... comes to the end ...
quite short indeed .
ehm conlusion of this compo : LONG ... TOO LONG ... PARTLY BORING
TOO BORING ... to many songs ... a
preselction would've been better ...

acryl : the big screen tells us that the 64kb intro compo will start
in a few minutes... let's see what they'll show to us ...
1st intro: " INSIDE " by RESISTANCE
oh i saw this intro before ... it starts with a doom routine
, followed by a morphing phong object ( looks buggy ) , the
background is some fluid effect . again a doom routine ..
no design ...
2nd intro: " SPIN " by ART EFFECT
music is much too loud ... only 3d objects, no design , boring
music and a silly upscroller ... that's it ..
3rd intro: " PARANOIA " by FINIX
WING COMMANDER FONT !!!! and silly graphics combined with a
real shitty tune ... then the tunnel effect like in emf's
VERSES .. some 3d objects rotating on the screen ... bla
hmmmm no design ... and again a effect already seen in
VERSES ... no i don't like that one ... :\
4th intro: " SMOOTHNESS GUARANTEED " by DIABOLIC FORCE
music , but no picture .. :) .. now it starts ..
my comment on the first part : monitor test !
some dot routines .. and that was it .. wow ... !
5th intro: " ZNICKERS " by THE SABOTAGE CRU
hmmm much more design as in the other intros , but music suxx
too ... amd the intro often hangs ...
old effects ... very ancient .... ( und wech )
6th intro: " ESSENCE " by FUNK!
wow ! that's the best one so far .. much applause for a
64 kb descent routine .. raytrayza already talked about that
now i can see it ...
i think it's worth to have it on hd :) [funny loop at the
end :> ]
Jo it's over now and i think it's clear who'll be the
winner ... hmmm all in all most of the intros caused
headache ...

Democompo starting now ( early sunday )
1st demo: "Stallinator" by topcrew
i've the impression that this is something like a antidemo...
looks like an intro maker demo...
this is kinda funny... so better see for yourself..
i won't comment this any further... hehe =)
2nd demo: "Das schweigen der lamer" by knockout.
stretched bitmaps comming up in the beinning...
next is a morpher from a face to a pig...
now 3ds objects spinning around on the screen .. bad code.
"gib gates keine chance" picture in background of another
turning and spinning object...
this demo shows the most common things but in a rather poor
quality. the music is also very old fashioned.
now a wolfenstein 3d remake comes up ... with super mario
walking around ... wah.. this sucks.
conclusion: bad desgin (or better no design) and rather bad
code... you won't miss it.
3rd demo: "0x90" by hybrid
demo starts with some 3dlogos(hybrid etc.) ... music is catchy!
really nice phong shaded objects here...
code is well done.
a duke3d like part comes up ... the viewer is running through
some well textured underground tunnels...
all in all a very good one.
4th demo: "flash" by the coexistence
starts with a spinnin' "TC" 3dlogo ....
tekkno music... with a banjo melody.
the tune sounds like western tekkno... not that bad!
the good old 3ds duck comes in and swings her ass...=)
a realtime calculated raytrayce pic comes in .. quite fast.
they claimed that they did this in 16 hrs here at mekka..
...if so it's really respectable work.
5th demo: " " by strontium 90
torus... flashing to the goa track..
now a morphing torus with phong shading ...
lotsa nice 3ds objects ... but little design...
feels lika a dejavu...
this torus looked quite nice ... it had lotsa holes
so you could look through it...
all in all nice to watch.
6th demo: "BLASPHEMY" by fatal justice
whoa... nice setup with some bitmap effects in the background
in the setup 3dlogo tunring around in the top of the screen..
okee demo starts ...
a bitmap tunnel appears with some greets in front of it...
nice pic with a nice delay folling with a new part which
shows some more or less usual 3d object stuff...
bitmap effects following...
now you see a walker from star wars standing on a chess field..
next part is a plane flying through a bitmap tunnel ...
now a textured landscape comes up ... looked nice...
again a doom like dungeon comes up... wich is also the endpart.
nice demo. perhaps the best one so far.

i think the first place will either be the 3rd or the 6th one.

i just woke up and now i need a cigarette .... hmmm no
compos anymore ... well what to do now ?

and dac again is writing...
I'm wide awake.. I only sleept 4 hours... (since wednesday)
I think it was a good party (my first) but the "prize" ceremony
will follow in the next hours... I'm keen on the results of da
multichannel competition... ...Hopefully I'm in the top 2o ..
there are many kewl guy with much ql music active at the time
I'did not expected that sumbody wants to hear GOA or other kind
of psychedelic trancy art stuff... ..many "guys" are leaving
the mekka "party" now ... ..perhaps they don't want to hear the
-> winning traxx or to see the suckin demos again ...
now the gabbacoredoomdukenukem3dsoftgamerlamerz are in full
effect... half died human beeings are trying to jump in
front of their screens hopeing to hit da right button on their..

a great thing for networkhackerz... a very stabilized one...
dead bodys everywhere.. ..approx. 18 percent of da "partydudes"
are just awake at the moment... but the highlight of da "Party"
were the girls sitting behind us... we had the kewlest seat all
in the hall... ..hey, da girls had very nice voices...
...I wanted to take one of these pseudobitches at home
and do some sample sessions with her....
I did load my newest bunker track in da background and I'm
writing with speeded up type rate... (hehe=|-)
I remember that bomb2o,Keith3O3 and I wanted to make a new
resistance chapter called resistance-E (or so.)
the cubic dudes did not earnt much aplause.. because there where
sum bukkz while playing tracks at the competition....
(I went in da last second to the organizers an prayed to them
to play my track with FT2...(sorry D-Lusion no DMF diz time))
performance really suxx... the traxx at the compo.. were all
build at the sheme: "do da best with da baddest samples"
it was like: no 16Bit,441ooHz and not more than 4o pats. allowed
5:oo minutes penalty time okay but only 1o48576 bytes [?] nope...
a big error was the surprise-compo (I called it shitcompo)
I'm not the chipptuneMAN and I HOPE that my track will never be
released anytime.....all what we have is HOPE, because the price-
ceremony will start in the next few minutes...(I Hope)
Since starting my bunker track the people are beginnin' to
deinstall their equipment and to run oout of the hall panicfully.
.... ups....
my frontman Keith3O3 is sleepin' at the desk behind me...
and a really suckin' children is askin' me the whole time
if he could get my text I write... ...really fuckin' dudes...

at the voting organizing... ...you can give the voting disk
so often as you like to the "vote-computer". ...but we did not..
