Taff(monster) is a man who's lived in many parts of the world. From the
valleys of Wales, to the sandy beaches of Spain. Through his electronica
project Nedavine he brings us less travelled folk the best of all worlds
in this first Soulseek Records release. From optimistic washes of synth and
stuttering bass kicks in the opening track (Ctrl Minus Shift) to the
beautifully melancholic, heartbeat driven ambient soundscape that is
Sleep, and everything else in between.
This E.P. is a package of five neatly arranged and produced tracks that will
walk you through a wide ranged musical spectrum and back again. And it is of
no surprise, given the corresponding amount of influences the Taffmonster
has exposed himself to over the years.
This release is an exciting development for Nedavine, it shimmers with a
child like optimism that can do nothing else but charm and refresh the
listener. There is certainly something for everyone and it will be exciting
to see what other routes will be taken in future releases.
