\2The party was very turned towards the public with adverts on the electronic scrolltext on busses (that's how we got to know of it) telling about the "exhibition and hackerparty" that was to be held (with the addition of "for REAL computers"). The party place was located in a school in Kortedala, a suburb to Gothenburg, Sweden. The party was divided in different areas including an exhibition hall, a hall for speeches and shows, and finally the party area itself in the hall for athletics. In spite of the attempts to draw the attention of the public to the event, there were very few persons attending.

The quality of the demos that were shown to us sceners from the other side was quite poor. Despite the built in 030 the heaviest routine accomplished was a gouraud-box with moving corners and a wolfenstein clone with fire on its walls. Other very popular effects were gourauded linevector (!), distorted pictures of all kinds, and dots. When we were shown what the infamous DSP-processor could do, we got somewhat disappointed when all we saw was a bunch of gourauded dots. The design of the demos shouldn't even be mentioned.

The Amiga and PC scenes are tightly connected to each other as they share the same demo festivity events. But the poor little Atari scene is really isolated from the scene we know and love, except for events like the Symposium and groups like TBL. So now I ask you all, why not let the Atari in to our dear side of the scene community? Why not have Atari Falcon compos at The Party, The Gathering etc. (not forgetting Icing and Remedy here in Sweden) and make the scenes of the C64, the Amiga, the PC and the Atari one big united scene? After all, the Amiga and the Atari scenes would logically have more in common than the Amiga and PC scenes as Amiga and Atari computers share the same main processor.
