\2- Rubberduck/TBL ...no need to say more!
\3
As you can see, No Sense continues to talk about The Black Lotus and especially their The Gathering '96 winning demo "Tint". Of course, they were very happy when they knew that they were going to win and when I asked Rubberduck about it, he tells me: \2"We knew that many people had their eyes on us after all the new people we have recruited recently and expected a pretty good demo so it was great..."
\3
The biggest threat before the competition was probably CnCd. They had early announced that they were going to release a demo at The Gathering, but they refused to reveal which computer it was made for.

\2- We knew that CnCd should release a demo on The Gathering and we were pretty afraid that they would have made "Closer 2 - The Final Destruction" or something... We met Destop and he confirmed that they had a demo but he refused to show it to us. I think I lost half of my nails on my right hand during the demo competition. After all demos had been shown (and no CnCd demo had been presented) we started to wonder. Destop just smiled as always. Then we understood that CnCd had made a PC demo instead. It is lucky that Destop is so small; otherwise we might have had him beaten up badly, hehe. So, after seeing all the contributions we were quite sure.

\3The Gathering organizers told the audience and prize winners that a very special prize was going to be given as price to either CnCd with their PC demo "Inside" or TBL with their demo "Tint". (If you didn't know, CnCd won the PC demo competition.) They told the visitors that the best of those two was going to win that special price. For me, it wasn't hard to guess which group it was. TBL was voted as the best, not only in the demo competition; they were voted number one, two and three in the graphics-compo (Louie, Facet and Rodney), one and two in the 4k intro competition (Gizmo and Equalizer). It was thereby a very big amount of money the group would receive if the price was to be given away as pure cash. To get rid of this "problem", the organizers simply chose TBL as the "big winners" of the Silicon Graphics computer, which of course was given to The Gathering as a sponsor-product. The organizing crew thereby got rid of paying any money to The Black Lotus. (It's of course possible that TBL's demo actually is better than CnCd's "Inside"!) A computer of this kind is extremely expensive. Including the software, it's actually worth more than 12000 dollars. Beat that The Party!

Thereby, my question was simple to choose: What are you going to do with the Silicon Graphics machine?

\2- Well, it's the only TBL computer (Wox 386 PC can't be considered as a computer) that has Ethernet connections so we will use it for IRC at parties. We will also bring a C64 so we have a good computer to play some games on... No, seriously, we'll try to find a way of making money with it, otherwise we have to sell it.
