\I[Rubberduck about TBL|By Frame|Section: Groups]
\F1\M\1(Continued from last page.)

\3A big group like TBL almost always demands organizing of some kind. Back in time, groups did it through mail and, of course, the telephone. Nowadays, Internet is used as a much better complement to those media. Rubberduck tells me...

\2- TBL are very depending on The Net and most of the information (read: 99%) is spread through mailinglists and IRC. This is a wonderful way to spread information and I'm surprised that not more groups use this in their organizing. When it comes to the organizing part its mostly me (Rubberduck) and Offa who are pulling the strings. I-Go is responsible for the mailinglists and The Web. Still all members say what they think and we try to be as democratic as we can.

- The most important thing is to see that information is spread and try to organize who is drawing what for what etc. We don't need much organizing since almost all members work very good themselves. To have people telling what other should do would never work in our group. All have to have the choice of doing whatever they like and so far that have worked just fine.

\3As TBL consists of many people and especially many coders, it is interesting to know if there is any internal competition.

\2- ...I think one of the main reasons why our coders have developed their skills pretty fast is that we work very much as a team and help each other a lot. I have never experienced any competition feeling in the group and I hope that I never will. We make enough demos for most people to have enough to do.

\3As many coders in TBL study computer-engineering at the same college, it's interesting to know if you'll get anything special out of it, when it comes to coding business.

\2- Not much, some maths and algorithms. Democoding is a very specific topic and there aren't much in school that's quite useful. Since there is no "school of democoding" all coders have their own style developed by themselves through long time.

\3Today, the fragrant people of The Black Lotus are (Amiga section) "Rubberduck, Offa, Equalizer, Noy, Gizmo, Tim, Jeek Elemental, TBM, Dig-it and I-Go (coders). Facet (Spaceman I), Danny (Spaceman II), Rodney, Louie, Cypher, Igloo, Axm and Tudor (all graphicians). Supernao (Spaceman III), Lizard and Azazel (musicians)."

With all those members, there must bee some kind of internal problems going on? Am I right?

\2"Offa has a fat cat (Truls). - Rubberduck has an ugly car (KjempeTorsken). - Equalizer has 2000 empty beercans (Falcon). - Tudor has no spaceship (Green). - Tim & Fear has no t-shirt (TBL). - I-Go has many funny tools (Pervert). - Gizmo has stolen Tudors spaceship (Green). - Facet&Supernao don't need a spaceship (Flying). - Rodney has puppy dog (Barbeque). - Louie hasn't a puppy dog (Already BBQed...)"\3, Rubberduck tells
me with a big smile after big internal researches.

Today, the whole forces of The Black Lotus are gathered busy working with a demo for Assembly later this year. According to Rubberduck, \1their only wish is to beat the Finns\3.
