\I[Subspace - Controlled Anarchy?|By Frame|Section: Groups]

\F2\4\MSubspace - Controlled Anarchy?
\F1\2
\C[ClipArts/pinnen.Chnk]
After some smaller failures to get serious and skilled members to join Spaceballs, Visitor started, on Mars 5th, the group Subspace together with Zalo and some of his friends, who knew some people, who knew some people... This was how Subspace was started, but how was the real situation with Spaceballs some months before that? Visitor tells me...
\3- Me and Lizard were in the same group (Inhuman0s) and we wanted him to do a musicdisk for our demo section, which I was organizing, so I had to call his board to chat with him. Then after some time had passed he just asked me if I could find some more members in Sweden for Spaceballs but not for a whole division, more like an appendix... But I fastly noticed that traders aren't taken very seriously in the demo scene, and therefore kinda lost my spunk and will to do something...

\F1\2In the beginning, Visitor was a modem-trader but slowed down his activities considerably much quite recently after some huge phonebills.
\3- I sort of regained my sense after those phonebills and came to a point where chasing fame and MB:s weren't as hot anymore...\2, Visitor says with a big smile.

\F1Your only real job in the scene today is to organize and in some occasions spread Subspace productions. Don't you think ex-traders of your kind only chance to get into a group is actually to start the group by theirselves? Apart from the friendship thing, of course.
\3- For those who are too lazy, like me, it's the thing to do, I guess... but I can see that the groups of today are more and more into "the net" and maybe they will need some knowledge about WWW/IRC...

\F1\2When asking about the leadership - if there's anyone taking most decisions - Visitor tells me with a smile: "\3controled anarchy is the way to describe the organisation\2".

\F1\2You are, despite of this, one of the main organizers.
\3- It's a very easy group to "lead" because everyone is in good contact almost everyday using Internet, BBS:s, the phone or just plainly meeting each other. Most of us live very near Gothenburg. This makes the organization a lot easier.

\F1\2Many groups are against the idea of letting any foreign members join. What do you say, would a foreign division or any foreign member do any harm?
\3- It's hard to answer but I don't think there ever will be a foreign Subspace division. If there will, those guys have to be GOOD! and keep almost daily contact with the rest of us...

\F1\2The key to good productions is mostly fun, friendship and good contact between the members. It seems like you have established this important ground for Subspace. "\3If you can establish that I think the rest will come automatically\2", Visitor tells me.

\F1What do you find most important in the group, talent or friendship?
\3- Of course talent and knowledge are important, but does it matter if they just lay around on the memberlist? I love talent but friendship is more important to me!
\2
The coder Confidence recently left the group to become a Balance member only whilst the infamous Colorbird together with the popular musician Lizardking joined the group.

\F1\2Subspace has a limit of members. "\3Only 15 are allowed to join\2", Visitor says. "\3Too many destroys the friendship\2", he continues.
\3- Here's the happyhappyjoyjoy bunch:...\2, as Visitor likes to call them.
"\3...Desoto, Newt, MRK and Calladin (graphicians). Origo, Spite, Colorbird and Prospect (coders). Deelite, Fudge, Lizardking and Blade (musicians). Rioter (raytracer), Zalo (organizer and sysop) and me, Visitor, that is (organizer). (15)\2"

\F1Subspace has so far released four productions. Two demos and two intros.

\3- We started kinda slow but now I think we got some good productions going and even if there is a summerdaze over us right now I think the autumn/winter will kick ass! \2Visitor says.
