it is for the seventh time , that thanks to dragon software and
mlodziezowy dom kultury (mdk) in bartoszyce , we will have
an opportunity to meet with people still active on the scene , those
whose adventure with the scene is already over - all in all the ones
who share passion for that still respected platform - commodore 64.
unfortunately it is the last pure-c64 party in poland and probably one
of the last ones in europe . the reason why we still can participate
in such events is our huge sentiment to c64.
we want to show respect to the ones who are still active , and give
them a chance to present their work here in poland in a proper
and admirable way. we do hope we can count on you and that you will
show up at the party with huge amount of compo entries.
after the demo-wealthy first edition of north party in 1997 we entered
a period of slight stagnation, which surprisingly ended up with a boom
of releases during the fourth edition . according to our calculations,
north party v7.0 is bound to be similar ;) . we also count on emotive
competitions this year (we came to a conclusion that the party should
be held every 2 years :/). there are many people we can always count
on . as usual , you can expect mindless fun , crazy compos
and the already traditional sport events.
so don't just sit your ass off , waiting for the party reports, photos
and other stuff - instead of making up excuses just be there

the official opening ceremony will be held on friday. but
if you arrive earlier (thursday night), we'll let you in.
w h e r e : mlodziezowy dom kultury in bartoszyce (MDK)
ul. Bohaterow Warszawy 6, 11-200 Bartoszyce,
north party 5 has been held there . MDK is located
opposite BDK known from most of the previous editions.

the entrance fee includes 2 meals. they will be served on

:-: deadlines will be announced durring the party (music
compo and reflextracker compo will probably take
place during first day of the party, so the deadline
should be approx. 16:00 on friday)
:-: we may reject any of the compo works , if they don't
apply to the rules
:-: if there will be a need for a selection (for example
more than 100 entries for the msx compo), it will be
done!
:-: the compo discs should be labelled with: nick/group,
description, name of the compo.
:-: there's a possibility of taking part in compos while
not being at the party itself , but these works
should have the notes with information , who's res -
ponsible for delivering it.
:-: our advice: send us the compo entries before the
party - that way you can be sure that nothing wrong
happens to your work during the party ! the e-mails
and mail addresses are at the end of this file.

beside the compos , you can also expect: the exceptional , friendly ,
trademarked north party feeling :) , sixth edition of "kick off soccer
compo" , well-known (but still amusing) crazy compos and also some new
ones :)
in the evenings we are planning to have some music played - both to
bang your head at or just chill out. ;) several sleeping rooms
in order to get some rest will be prepared . there will also be
a non-stop snack-bar at the party place.
r e a d t h i s c a r e f u l l y : party is a party . everybody
wants to have some fun. but please , B E H A V E ! no demolishing,
no tagging etc. know your possibilities and do not overdose on what
you're eating/drinking/smoking! all in all, if you lose control, you
will have to clean after yourself! the organizers take no responsibi-
lity for any damage, hardware or things lost at the party. we also
take no responsibility for your illegal behaviour in the city limits
and the party place.
h o w t o g e t t h e r e from the bus / train station ?
if you arrived by train - leave train station and go straight to the
roundabout . if you arrived by bus - get off and go into the direction
you arrived from straight to the roundabout (200m from the bus/train
station). go straight through the roundabout. after ca 150m you should
see a government building ("ZUS") on the right. walking the right-side
pavement you'll reach the gateway of MDK . that's the partyplace . it
will be marked, so there'll be no chance to miss it.
h o w t o g e t t h e r e if you arrive by car ?
if you arrive from the direction of olsztyn - drive straight, you
should see "RAFINERIA GDANSKA" gas station and then (ca 400m) a police
station (POLICJA). after about 150m you will reach the crossroads
turn right and drive about 400m. when you reach the approach road you
should see MDK on the left. that's our partyplace. turn left, drive
through the gateway to the safe parking lot.
