    Last Ninja Music Compo
 [=------------------------=]

Recently when I listened again to those amazing tunes of Last Ninja,
I asked myself how these might sound if they would have been composed
today. Then I thought, this is a good idea for a compo...

 Rules:
 ------

Your contribution can be a cover of just one tune or be a medley, that
doesn't matter. But it should be related to the music of Last Ninja 1-3.
Of course, you have enough room for own interpretations. A simple 1:1 copy
would be boring, wouldn't it?

Contributions must be handed in as standard C64-executables or as
PSID-files (then I will do a simple player for you) and must run on a plain
C64 with a 1541-floppy drive. Please specify if an old or a new SID is
preferred. Besides this, there are no further limits (time, speed, digis).
You may show graphics or text while your tune is played, but we won't take
it into consideration for the judgement.

Only unreleased musics are allowed. After the winners have been announced,
all contributions will be spread together with the results.

Finally, just one tune per composer is accepted. Deadline will be
31.12.2000, 23:59. Until then your contribution should have been mailed to
me (Address, see below).

 Judgement:
 ----------

There will be a jury consisting of the following people:

Ninja/The Dreams/TempesT - Initiator of this Competition

Heechee - Maintainer of the Last-Ninja-Fanpage
(check out: http://lastninja.c64.org)

Taxim/Banshee/Padua - Composer, did a lot of Last-Ninja-Synthie-Remixes

Reyn Ouwehand - Composer, did the Last Ninja 3 and Remix soundtracks
(No, he won't prefer LN3-based-entries ;)) Be sure to check out his new CD
"Nexus 6581" at http://come.to/prevue

(We are still looking for at least one more worthy judge. We will keep
you informed.)

Every judge rates every tune with a number of points between 0 (crap) and
10 (brilliant). Then the points for each tune will be added and the three
tunes with the most points will win the prizes. Easy, isn't it?

 Prizes:
 -------

What boring prizes, just money!

1st: 35 Euro (ca. 70 DEM, ca. 35 US$)
+ a signed CD "Nexus 6581" by Reyn
2nd: 25 Euro (ca. 50 DEM, ca. 25 US$)
3rd: 15 Euro (ca. 30 DEM, ca. 15 US$)

But perhaps you also get a little fame. :)

 Final words:
 ------------

If you are planning to attend to this compo, then please write me a short
Mail, so I (and you) will get an impression about how many people want to
participate. For other ideas/criticism/comments you may also write me
anytime.

Okay, I'm off for now, see you!
