Codecraft #2 deadline moved
Following is a mail from the Codecraft #2 mailing list.
Dear CodeCrafter,
The coding deadline has been moved. If you want to know
why then you can find out below, but I'll first state the
new deadline:
No more coding should take place after Sunday, 4 June 2000.
Entries that arrive in my mailbox after 18:00 GMT on
Monday, 5 June 2000 will not be accepted for the CC#2
competition, so please send out your emails as soon as
possible as some mails can take quite a couple of hours
to reach their destination.
Here are some reasons for this move:
- I was quite late in remembering everybody about the
deadline being so close so I guess it has still caught
some people by surprise.
- Given a couple of extra days we'll have at least 2 more
8k's which would otherwise not have made it in time
(mrHill/icebird and PT/DFI, so don't dissapoint me now
guys ;)
- A deadline in the middle of a week is completely silly
to start with ;) Having it at the end of a weekend means
everybody can really give it a long last go :)
To be clear: the new deadline is for ALL categories, not
just the 8k.
