This is version 0.13.0 of VICE, the multi-platform PET/VIC20/C64 emulator.
This version can be compiled both for MS-DOS and for most Unix system
provided with the X Window System version 11.
The following programs are included:
- x64, a C64 emulator;
- xvic, a VIC20 emulator;
- xpet, a PET3032/4032/8032 emulator;
- c1541, a stand-alone disk image maintenance utility;
- petcat, a CBM BASIC de-tokenizer;
- recomment, an iterative database driven reassembler;
- x64run/xvicrun/xpetrun, simple utilities for running the VICE emulators in
customized xterms.
Moreover, the following documents are provided:
- README, this file;
- COPYING, the GNU General Public License under which VICE is distributed;
- INSTALL, installation instructions;
- CHANGES, changes between this and older versions of VICE;
- BUGS, a list of the most important known bugs of this release (please read
this before reporting bugs);

petcat utility;
- doc/serial.doc, description of the IEC serial bus used on the C64, VIC20
and C128;
- doc/mnemonics, alphabetical list of all the G65SC802 and G65SC816 opcodes;
- doc/drive_info, information about the CBM disk drives;
- doc/Evaluation, VICE evaluation query form: please fill this in and send
