Welcome to GroovyCompo. Everything you need to know will be
on http://www.groove.org/groovycompo/. GroovyCompo will be
as webpage centralised as possible to avoid confusion.
There will be a mirror of the VotePacks and SamplePacks and Results
on http://www.zip.com.au/~yannis/groovycompo/index.html
1. [ Quick Rules ]
- Your song cannot exceed a size of 200k *zipped*.
It is your job to compromise the quality of certain
samples, and decide which ones you really need.
There will be NO exceptions made for any songs
exceeding 200k zipped; they will be disqualified.
- You allowed to add ONE *8 OR 16 bit* sample not exceeding
40,000 bytes. If you can't read this rule, then you
have no right to track and we disqualify your ass.
For Impulse tracker users, you're allowed as many
"instruments" (on the F4 screen) as you like.
- Only one tune per author, although you're allowed to enter
as many co-ops as you like, as long as they're all with
different people.
- You're allowed to manipulate the samples in any way you
please, but don't manipulate a sample so it's bigger than
the original. We want to keep that votepack small.
** PLEASE EXPLAIN ** what you have done to a sample if it's modified
beyond recognition. This will eliminate people complaining that
you have not used samples from the sample pack.
- This is *NOT* an Anonymous comp :)
