Dear Sirs & Madams,
It has been an interesting period, planning one of the most talked about,
rumoured and awaited events to take place on the Commodore 64.
The Tribute-concept was born in 1994. The idea was that people from past
and present would come together and salute the Commodore 64, the scene and
the times we've all shared.
In November 1994, groups like Triad, Fairlight, Xakk, G*P, Avantgarde,
F4CG, Censor Design, Oxyron and Byterapers to mention a few from a broad
timeperspective gathered. The reactions from the party were several, most
of them positive. But we have altered things slightly this time to make
things more comfortable for the wide bunch.
The Commodore 64 has startled us, and continues to starle. Even though,
what we refer to as the scene has been a part of history since 10 years
back, we still triumph new victories in amazing demos. Just to think there
is still games coming out in 1996 is truely amazing!
That is why we want a Tribute. For those of you who unfortunatly had to
leave us too early can meet up and catch up with the past years. The
active and productive ones will again get to meet, compete, enjoy and
socialize. We do so in spirit of the 64. We do so in spirit of the scene
that has created one of our greatest memories to look back on when we grow
old. We do so because this is a part of our roots. Welcome to your past in
Gothenburg, Sweden.

INFORMATION ABOUT TRIBUTE

The party will NOT take place in a school. We believe that for spirit of
fun and socializing, a club is ideal. The party will be held in one of the
most popular clubs in Gothenburg called WALK OVER. There will be a big
screen TV, (Tribute 1994 still has the biggest screen on a party up to
date), a bar, a pooltable, Black Jack and Roulette.
The club is located 3 minuites walk from the central station, on
KYRKOGATAN 33. There is a parking house located very close by to the club.
The party will open at 18:00 on Friday and close at 15:00 on Sunday. The
entrence fee to the party is 200 SEK.
COMPETITIONS

Demo The demo must run on a standard Commodore 64, Action Replay 6
and a Commodore 1541 drive.
Superdemo NEW! Bring creations running on REU, SuperCPU or anything you
come to think of. REMEMBER: Bring your own equipment!
Art Only executable, (runnable) files are accepted.
Music Only executable, (runnable) files are accepted.
The interest in taking part of the competitions is immense, so please take
part of the information carefully to be a winner or allowed to
participate.

Jeopardy Take part in the scene & Commodore 64 related quizz show. A
remake of the most popular TV-show in the world that was a
success at Tribute 1994. Do you dare to compete?
Demo, music Shown by a fine sellection of wares-j's. Bring your own favo-
& graphics rites to th big screen TV.
24 hour bar, You will be appriciating our offers. Try the specially brewed
food & snack.F4CG beer.
And a whole set out yet unplanned happenings. You can be one of them, if
you do not watch out!
RULES

* You are NOT ALLOWED to bring your own alcohol. You will find complete
satisfactory in the bar.
* Troublemakers, drunks and people who cause trouble in general at the
party or to the organisation WILL be throwed out by security.
* You will be held responsible for any damage you cause. And beaten up.
The party will be watched by WALK OVER's own crew/security. They are in
general very nice people but can make your life miserable if you want them
to.

TRIBUTE 1996 INVITATION DISTRIBUTION

An invitationfile, (Commodore 64) spread through a network of swappers to
people, boards and the internet.
An ascII-file through our mailinglist of Commodore 64 people on the
internet, (500 names) and to th PC/Amiga scene.
A paper invitation distributed through swappers and to adresses taken from
our database, (200 printed).
The Propaganda homepage will also feature possible updates.
Our greatest respect to the scene for making this possible. Without the
swappers, there would be nothing.
