Theze pics were taken on friday evening/night and sunday morning/afternooon. If
you are wondering why i talk so much about the network in the descriptions,
that's becoz i was one of the network organizers. We had loads of trouble
getting you on the net, but eventually many people had access to the internet.
I hope you enjoyed it...
Well enough blah blah for now; just look at the pics, and if you like read
my comments (sorry for my bad english) with each of them.

1s01a - Several people from the Network Management at X'97-Takeover looking
for possible hack-attempts:
-"What is that guy doing with printserver.tue.nl?"
="Dunno, just put a firewall on him!"
1s02a - Well Friday evening and there are already quite some people in
Eindhoven.
1s03a - A constant flow of people at the entrance.
1s04a - Jez, the C64 scenerz are still the worst scum of every party. ;)
1s05a - 24hrz observation in the C64 corner... Even the security guys
had a great time!
1s06a - Nice view of the partyplace at friday evening. If you look closely
you can see several people from Stack running around, checking the
network cables and having the time of their life. *bzzzzz* At times
there was more than 90Volts on the cable, but hey.. it kept us awake ;)
1s07a - I really dug this tower, nice artworx!
1s08a - And the #nlcoders were also there..! And the 303 in the foreground
was not the only one around, i guess i saw about 20 of these beauties
lying around.
1s09a - Well... TheRew/Nostalgia, one of the main-organizers of X'97-Takeover.
This picture was taken friday evening, but you should've seen him in
the sunday afternooon ;)
1s10a - Well this is the houze-corner.. Loads of trouble with the network
over here (I still have nightmares of this corner ;), but probably
also the most fun corner becoz a lot of Belgians sat here. I
remember helping some guyz of Triloxy here.
1s11a - Another overview of the place. If you look carefull, you can see
two guys near the organ kickin' the webcam. "Stupid thing! Give us
some pictures!"
1s12a - Some guys from Stack playing with one of the many playstations around.
1s13a - "Peeze man, but where were those sleepingtents again? I can't find
them..." *hiccup* This guy was just a little bit drunk, he came
back three times, asking where the tents were. Finally we had to
escort him to his final resting place for this night ;)
1s14a - Well the room behind doors in the upper left corner (with the red
lights) was the serverroom. That was the centre of all net-traffic.
Hmm, the clock shows us it's 3:35 on a friday night.
1s15a - Aaarrrgghhh! Again the houze corner.. At times a 120Volts went
through the network cables in this section.
1s16a - The guys of Rave Beats International were also present,
contributing quite some modz to the houze compo. Way cool guyz!
1s17a - left to right: Giddy Aunt and Jerry (the www-maintainerz) and
Tim/SuccesS standing in front of TheRew/Nostalgia.
1s18a - These machines were the sub-routers for the networks.

1s19a - Da_P/STACK abusing Redhound's ftp/www.takeover.stack.nl machine
for irc ;) Btw, thanx go to all the people who filled my gigaz of
diskspace with kewl mp3's!
1s29a - E3N/STACK relaxing a bit on irc on our main-router.takeover.stack.nl
which also functioned as irc.takeover.stack.nl. The main router
was supplied by Da_P/STACK. This baby kept running all weekend
without one prob... Ain't Linux beautiful? ;)
1s30a - the HiOCHEER/PRoJECT -X- in the serverroom. Be sure to listen to his
houze entry: px_ameye.zip!
1s31a - Jerry updating the web-pages...
1s32a - Sunday morning... After i came back out of my coma, i took this
picture of a full partyhall.
1s33a - Yeah... It was _forbidden_ to sleep in the main hall! ;)

We were irc-operators for 1 whole weekend, and we were proud of it! ;)
2s02a - Hangin' around in the organizers room: JAL/Nostalgia (left) and
Badvibes/New Order (right).
2s03a - Nightshade/SuccesS back to reality after less than an hour of sleep ;)
I have to say that these guyz really put great effort in organizing
this party. Great job men, i hope you have some energy left for
next year(z)!
2s04a - The organizers room with from left to right:
TheRew/Nostalgia, JAL/Nostalgia, Badvibes/New Order and
Nightshade/SuccesS who is still getting out of bed.
2s05a - The organizers room again.. This area was probably the messiest
area of the entire partyplace.
2s06a - Some unfortunate guyz who didn't bring their own hardwarez and
network shit to connect to the Net.
2s07a - Yeah! One of the Morbid Minds! Their act on friday rocked! I hope to
see them again at another party soon and at X'98 ofcoz...
2s08a - Another Morbind Mind talking to Giddy Aunt (right). Giddy Aunt
rushed constantly through the party hall carrying his digital
camera, making pictures for the official www-report.
2s09a - Some d00d hiding behind a lot of boxes hoping to catch some Zzz's.
The party was great! But just 1 hour of sleep a day can be a killer.
2s10a - Nice overview of the place.
2s11a - Hmm dunno why i took a picture of an Esc*m-puter.. It must have
been really late... ;)
2s12a - Yepz RBi (Rave Beatz International) were there...
2s13a - There were even some guys from Surrelix. Damn, i hope i spelled it
right this time.
2s14a - The New Order corner... After having some problems with the network
(their ip-numbers were changes about 4 times ;) they could also
connect to the Net. After this these guys came on #X97 and we had
a great time on irc.
2s15a - Yeah the entertainment in the New Order corner was really good...
They dragged a huge teevee and playstation to Eindhoven. You could
even enjoy a good movie over here at times.
2s16a - Busted! Yeah we caught them right in the act of hackin a server on
the Net.. ;)
2s17a - The information desk... Notice the "Beer Here" sign!

2s19a - JAL/Nostalgia is handling the voting disk, and apparently he is
having the time of his life. What do you mean "Lack of sleep" ? :)
2s20a - Yeah the cool X'97-Takeover tshirt! The artworx was made by Lazur
from Poland, handdrawn, no copy!
2s21a - Heh the C64 corner with very descriptive sign hanging from the
ceiling. "Scum" ;)
2s22a - Sunday morning.. Everyone is still awake, and making noize from
dusk till dawn.
2s23a - Some of the many people of security and fire-brigade. Big thnx to them!
Luckily they didn't much to do, coz everyone behaved really great...
