  * Another new ascii-logo by Csabo... He'll make a new logo for
    each TT he said. :>

  * changed the sample-rule. check it down below (marked with |)

yes-votes for new hall of fame : 10
no-votes for new hall of fame : 6

  * I will make a new hall of fame after tt26, this because then it's
a year since tt started and i can have a "Hall OF Fame '96"-list. :>

 -----< comments >-----------------------------------------------------------

             1. Hunz - hnz-sndy.xm 6.842 - ***+

  * Couldn't understand it - haven't passed my test yet so that could explain
    it . . .
  * A bit good, this. The best in the compo.. very clever. I like it.
  * Damn!... When will *I* be able to write something like this?... :(
One little comment: when I first heard it, that retrigged snare in
pattern 3 on channel 13, well it sounded like a phart... :-o Anyone
    else noticed this?
  * the volume is too high on the flute, still one of the better tunes
    in the pack

             2. Lemm - k_living.it 6.222 - ***+

  * This rocked too, nice vibe - I should probably give it more, but Lemm
    wins too often anyway...
  * Not quite as good as Beat Fever, man, but still rather good.
And no, I didn't play it in Cubic in the end :>
  * Nice song. Good job, my friend.
  * Falling back on the old tried-and-trusted "Lemm" style, are we? :)
  * Nice. These soppy songs always get to me.

             3. Yannis - ybloco.it 6.167 - ***+

  * Cheesy. That out of key note is beautiful though - a work of genius...
  * Superb sound. Patterns 9-13 and 21-23 are remarkably good!
  * You're insane. :) (Then again, many geniuses are. Yikes. :> )
  * WOW! I never thought it was possible. Now I have heard everything.

             4. Lonewolf - wisc.xm 5.842 - ***

  * When that harder bit towards the end came in I went, "Yep, this has won,"
but then nothing happened . . . Well tracked though - good stuff.
  * *You* think that the Garbage Man is your
worst entry. I heard four tunes from you so far and I liked that one
the most. Also, "Infinite Dreams" got 5.6, "Skule" got 5.4 (compared to
g.m's 4.9) It's just that both Tito and Hunz stayed away from TT24...
  * great song, but dont' bitch about ratings :-)
  * why did you have to go all techno halfway thru? It was FINE up to
    that point.
  * I really love your work, latly you have been writting some great pieces.
All you can do is get better, so I can't wait!
  * the first part is good, nice chords

             5. Xenakis - xs-tt25.it 5.778 - ***

  * I dunno why I like this song, probably cos' I'm obsessed with that kinda
triplet swing thing. The chord progression's nice (Emin7 - A7), despite
the fact it's only two chords, it's a kewl inversion.
  * Funky! Very well tracked, great job the leads. Maybe the beginning is
    a little long.
  * Nice touch at the start. ;) The tune RULED too. Well done! =)
  * For 2 chords, this songs works so well. The drums work well, and
    the bass is nice.

             6. Csabo - wuleftme.it 5.722 - ***

  * the only song this round with a memorable tune; i've been humming
the parts to this all day. good work!~@
  * Drums in first part too loud, transitions suck like hell, ending is
very shit, pad in second part too loud, lead in second part is terrible.
Why only 2 minutes, motherfucker? Oh, I see, 21 samples, you goddamn
bastard! Overall the song is boring and depressive, you idiot! Hidden
    parts suck too.
  * spend less time on ansi song messages :-)
  * Really nice and slow. Those enya-like pizzacato-chords were
incredible. the hidden part rocks :-).
  * This tune surprised me positively!

             7. Lepra - lep-posi.xm 5.632 - ***

  * Nice. Very skillful.
  * You captured the feel of the style well. When the piano (and the base)
stops, it sounds a little empty. Maybe a little variation on the drums
at those parts? I really liked pattern 6. What about the muffins???
  * wheee, fun song!
  * A really professinal touch. that "hidden(?)" piano part just rock, a
winner if you would had made something of it.
  * A little quiet... but it was a nice melody. =)

             8. Ballistique - tb-thing.it 5.444 - ***

  * Don't like the bass line. Otherwise not bad.
  * Hey, I like this tune! Come to think of it, I couldn't do anything
this good in only one hour!...
  * That was one helluva well-spent hour. =)

             9. Balrog - ajabaja.xm 5.400 - ***

  * This is cool cos' of that understated, amospheric sine bit,
    bit short though . . .
  * Wow! Very good baseline and drums. Where's the rest?
  * nice poem!  :-)
  * Amazing backing track, but with no REAL
melody, this wasn't a bad thing either. The
backing track was enuf to keep me going.

             10. Smash - io_cack.xm 5.263 - ***

  * No cack as yet, still time though...
  * Ending is good.
  * i already knew what kack meant thank you..
  * You're improving. Nice use of horns. =)
  * Hehe, this was educational music? =)
  * nice feel to the beat..

             11. Lagioto - rlimits . it 5.118 - ***

  * piano begs for more variety, otherwise excellent.
  * good but not special like some other times.

             12. Keefa-Z- - 80scheez. xm 5.056 - ***

  * this guy improved a lot over the space of two weeks ;) some *extremely*
good spots, some places that need more work... but an all-around
    solid entry.
  * We're stingy bastards, 'coz cojacob got 2.21? Hmm.
  * love the lead on channel 11&12 from order 3.

             13. Caramel - crmentos.s3m 4.895 - **+

  * If I'm getting this right, this is a joke, isn't it? Heheh, I liked
*your* version of the ad... Very good use of the harmonica sample.
You did a good job on the lead in patterns 12-15. Bass out of tune(?)
  * frightening. truly frightening.
  * You don't really LIKE using stereo commands, do you? :I
  * why? it was very amusing thou.
  * bad leads, the flute is off-key

             14. Welti - additiv . it 4.444 - **+

  * i must be missing something here.
  * weird, I liked this one. maybe it's because I'm
very into acid. (no, not the drug folks).
  * "Innovative" just doesn't do this piece justice! =) Pity it was
slightly at the expense of the song. :I Still, at least it was in tune
and had some chord structure and stuff so... :)

             15. Warpus - windows .s3m 3.353 - **

  * warpus is entering the TTs now? ehaEHAEHEaheHae er. neat song.
    repetitive.
  * partially opened WINDOWS?  (giggle)

             16. Tempest - fatehaze.xm 3.316 - **

  * an effectless wonder =) loops well, but it needs some excitement. slow.
  * Sounds a bit nasty. A few absolutely HORRIBLE chords in there.
  * "bleh!"  :-)
  * maybe you should start spending more than 20 mins on your songs.. :)

             17. LOgre2'3 - machine.it 1.278 - *

  * 1:20 of opening hihats? no thanks. also, why enable instruments if
you aren't going to do anything with them?
  * Despite the fact that LOgre2'3 is probably Satan himself, I have to say
that this song would be quite a massive ammount better if it was
condensed into about three mins... Eternal Purgatory the musical . . .
  * People actually listen to this style of music for PLEASURE!?!? No,
I don't like it at all.
  * I listened to the whole tune. This one is definitely better than the
previous two. Problems: way too long. Need a whole lot more variation,
if you want to write a 13 minutes song. Ending also too long. The idea
seems unique, it'd be okay, if you did this in *one* pattern, not six!
I managed to listen patiently till about 3:40 of the song, when I really
felt like I couldn't stand it anymore. From 4:30, when the basedrum
starts to kick, then tune get's better. Face it: it's boring. Wind it up
faster. About your tracking style: it's a big ZERO. Just look at the way
YOU track, and check out some other tunes (e.g: Hunz). Patterns copied
and little modifications. It shows no effort at all! (Nor talent) This
thing, whatever you'd call it, that you're doing here is a SHAME for
the industrial style. In TT26, I'll do an industrial tune, just to show
you what could be done. If you want your audience to like your songs,
you'll have to make it at least a *little* more "popular". If you don't
want your audience to like it, then what are you doing in this compo?!
This arrogant politically incorrect comment by Csabo the bastard, Axl
pse include my name in this one. [and so i did and you'll have to take
    the consiquenses :>]
  * huh?  wheres' the music?
  * hmm.. uh. like.. uhmm. nice hihats :-). too repretive and boring. you
really know how to annoy and bore the listener.. that i'd have given you
    a 9 for.
  * I dutifully sat ALL THE WAY THROUGH your tune. I wish I hadn't. It
was little more than noise with rhythm. Are you DELIBERATELY
trying to annoy the hell outta the rest of us? IT'S NOT FUNNY
AFTER THE FIRST TIME. 69 patterns of PURE SHIT??! I plan to have
    you BANNED from TT.
  * For an experimental peice, it's lacking something, substance.

  general comments :
  ------------------

 * The usual thing about tuning samples and not making tunes that repeat the
same few patterns over again and bore the PANTS off everybody. One key
at once is better than 17.

 * i liked alot of these songs, but there werent' many songs that i liked
alot%) some good some bleh, as always, but overall and in general i
think it was a good compo.

 * Is it just me, or are the voters MUCH more harsh these days?

 -----< info >---------------------------------------------------------------

The Trackering is divided into 2 weeks, here's the info :

   ---- compo ---- Week : 1

The Trackering is held on channel #tt, every first and third
    Saturday->Sunday of every month at 01.00AM CET / 07.00PM EST. I'll be
offering a samplepack in 1 hour, if you get them I'll declare you an
contestant. If you weren't there in time, you can always get the sample-
pack from ftp.cdrom.com /pub/demos/incoming/music/tt/samples, just make
sure you get the most recent pack. In the samplepack there is a file
called deadline.txt, this shows the date and time when the deadline is.
Right after you get the pack you can begin tracking.

I want all the tunes back before the following weekend, same time(1am
cet/7pm est). I'll be on IRC as axl_ (of course) at that time so you can
just dcc them to me, or mail it to 'axelsson@freenet.hut.fi' with either
UUEncode or MIME. This is just the deadline so you can send your tune
    to me during the week.

    * Note : TT is on AnotherNet,
so connect your irc-client to one of these AnotherNet servers:

  		- neato.org
		- irc.netnation.com
                - serve.org

   ---- voting ---- week : 2

The vote-pack will be out 1-2 hours after the compo-deadline and
the pack will be available on IRC and on FTP :
    - ftp.cdrom.com /pub/demos/incoming/music/tt/votepacks
    - ftp.arosnet.se /demo/musicdisk
    - filename : tt##vote.zip - where ## is the number of the contest.

Everyone can judge the TT compo, but a contestant must judge it or
    he'll be disqualified.

The voting system is a scale from 0-9. There will be a vote-form included
in the vote-pack, which is almost self-explainatory :), If you need
help on how to vote, then just mail me.

The results will be out 1 week after the compo has ended, it'll be
distributed on IRC and in the next sample-pack. You can also get it from
    ftp.cdrom.com /pub/demos/incoming/music/tt/results
