assho' nuff ya' dat ah' wuz indeed pissed as all heck as sheeit, cuz' I wuz
seein' some solid publicashun wid about 50 uh de content mine go waaay down-
hill...sheeit, guess whut? Popco'n's back t'runnin' TraxWeekly, but befo'e
ya' go screamin' in anguish, give me some few minutes.
So Popco'n's slacked off quite some bit...coincidentally he manages to
git into some medical turnova' right at da damn puh'fect instance. What it is, Mama! Do we care?
Is it really dat significant? De wo'ld be not goin' t'end if TraxWeekly
duzn't mosey on down out on time. What it is, Mama!..but it duzn't make anyone happy if it NEVER
comes out on time. What it is, Mama! De result uh TraxWeekly #25 be quite apparent...a few
uh us, tired uh bein' dependent and unable t'get some progress, took it
into our own hands t'get TraxWeekly out and back on schedule. What it is, Mama! Obviously,
it's effected some serious repuh'cussions. Fo'give and fo'get. Popco'n is
capable uh doin' his job. Sheeeiit.

ah' wants'ed t'scribble an article on Windows 95 dis week, but I've been too
busy t'get it done. What it is, Mama! Specifically, I'm plannin' on writin' an article
about compatibility between Windows 95 and da damn various trackers, samplers,
and players on de scene. What it is, Mama! I'd appreciate any comments o' bugs dat ya'
may gots' - mail dem t'niespodj@neonramp.com. 'S coo', bro. Once ah' get enough time to
do some do'ough testin' I'll git de article out.
Dis week, ah' would likes t'respond t'some comments by Psibelius in last
week's issue. What it is, Mama! My disclaima' down front - dis be NOT intended t'start any
type uh flame war. Ah be baaad... Psibelius made some 'sellent points dat ah' would likes
t'build downon and I'd also likes t'clarify some remarks dat he made in
reference t'some uh my past articles.
First, ah' couldn't agree mo'e - dere needs t'be some lot less criticism and
some lot mo'e coopuh'shun on de scene. What it is, Mama! But most impo'tantly, it be vital to
sepuh'te criticism fum opinion. 'S coo', bro. Makin' some statement such as "dere needs
t'be mo'e diversity on de scene" o' "rippin' samples be bad-ass" be givin'
an opinion, not criticism. 'S coo', bro. ah' strongly recon' dat everyone be entitled
t'deir opinion, and wheda' o' not we agree wid it we should respect
it. De purpose uh TraxWeekly be to 'shange ideas and opinions wid
oders in dis wonderful wo'ld uh beat. We kin't be afraid t'share our
opinions, even if many gots'ta disagree. What it is, Mama! Oderwise, why boda' writin'
anydin' at all?
Criticism be a whole different issue. What it is, Mama! Slammin' someone on some sucka'al level
should not be tolerated in some publicashun o' some public fo'um. 'S coo', bro. Personal
disagreements should be settled privately. Slap mah fro! ah' really duzn't care t'see
wahtahmelluns such as "his beat sucks" o' "his moda' is some <fill in de blank>";
I've gots betta' din's t'do wid mah' time. What it is, Mama! Fo'tunately, real little if
any uh dis kind'a bashin' snatch'd place publicly. Slap mah fro! And dat's de way it
should be. What it is, Mama!.. but dat's plum my opinion <G>.
Of course, not all criticism be bad-ass. Constructive criticism should always
be welcome. What it is, Mama! Music and demo reviews gots'ta always be subjective in nature,
and we should respect da damn opinions and doughts uh dose dedicated and
brave enough t'publish deir reviews. Comments such as "de song wuz
really baaaad, but da damn strin's wuz an octave too high" o' "de change at
pattern 10 wuz some little abrdownt, but clever" help us all improve and grow
in our beatal career. Ah be baaad... Constructive criticism be always baaaad, provided it
be honest, insightful, and not malicious.
Hopefully dis be makin' some kind'a sense. What it is, Mama! It's late, I'm tired, and I
gots' an edito' pushin' some wastedline <G>. Not t'menshun de fact dat I'd
rada' gots' mah' fin'ers on mah' mama instead uh dis keybo'd... ah, de
sacrifices one makes. Right On! ah' would likes t'sucka'ally dank Psibelius fo'
brin'in' de whole criticism issue t'de fo'efront; it's sump'n we all
deal wid as beatians. I'd also love t'commend him on his sdownerb use of
irony - he 'espressed his strong feelin's against criticism by. Slap mah fro!.. sheeit...
criticizin' ;-). Give him two points fo' cleverness. Right On!
Dere be one last wahtahmellun I'd likes t'clarify befo'e ah' sign off. What it is, Mama! In a
previous article ah' made da damn followin' statement, dig dis: "It seems dat everyone
be tryin' t'become Skaven and scribble deir own spin on Second Reality. Slap mah fro!"
It seems ah' wuz snatchn way out uh context; ah' dun didn't mean fo' dat t'be snatchn
literally. Slap mah fro! It wuz plum a simile; some figure uh speech (my English professo'
would be proud). ah' could gots' plum as easily used Beedoven o' Mozart as
an 'esample, but ah' used Skaven since he's probably mo'e popular <G>. ah' do
not recon' dat Skaven gots'ta some intellectual propuh'ty rights t'any tune
dat be written dat sounds remotely classical; ah' plum used his Second
Reality as mah' 'esample since mos' everyone and deir pet dog gots'ta heard it.

A'cuz uh de shea' volume uh beat bein' released dese days, it
grows harda' and harda' to keep down wid all de new producshuns, and all
de new composers. Unfo'tunately, cuz' of dis, many sucka's reso't to
plum FTPin' de beat uh de "big-ass dojigger" beatians. Dere be nodin'
inherently wrong wid dis, uh course, but many uh de unknodes are just
left in de dust. HORNET Demonews might review de songs, howeva' dat
