OP3DFX DEMO COMPO 2

Entry 43 : Oblivion By Danie Conradie ( s9718432@student.up.ac.za )

Lots of special fx for you to enjoy. Some classic fx rewriten for VOOODOO

and lots of new stuff. It has a cartoon, enhanced fire, space scene ,tunnel,

a pretty girl, reflection mapping, fractals, (did i mention the pretty girl?),

a temple and some more goodies. Enjoy.

Code and GFX by me.

Music : Various people (Mystical, ?Snot? and unknown)

Tested with:

 WIN95 Glide 2.4.2

 DirectX 5.0

 SB AWE32

 SB 16

 Pentium 2 300 MMX

 Pentium 200 MMX

 Pentium 133

Recommended : Pentium 133 +

Untested :

 VOODOO Rush

 WINNT - ( My Monster3D CD doesn't have drivers for NT :(

           But this should work )

Known bugs ? : None

Just a few hints

- Music starts a little while into the demo. Be patient

- For a slow machine choose mono or no music.

- Turn off your screen saver before running the demo. It might just

kick in when you don't want it to.

- The demo is made to run FX_GLIDE_SWAPINTERVAL=0 (the default). Setting it

to 1 makes the demo go faster but it will not look as good (timing is out).

- If you have been running many 3dfx demos, they might change settings on

the VOODOO that my demo uses. If something looks wrong then just quit, reboot

  and try again...

- If the demo crashes, just check out "debug.log" to see where and what happened

  and let me know.

- If Direct Sound support doesn't work on your machine then just select

"Don't use Direct Sound" or no-sound at startup.
