I have heard rumours about a textfile going on around in Norway! Maybe
foreign dudes have read this file too!
I says that the crack-section of Scoopex have been reborn after having
been dead for a long while! And there is also given a address where you
can contact them if you want to join! The name of a dude called Stratos
was also mentioned, but I'm not sure if he was the HQ. But he was a
member of Scoopex Pirates.
I have NOT read this article myself, but I have got the information by
talking to people in Balance, Melon and Scoopex that have read this
textfile! So I have got the main info. of this article!
But please, do not be fooled by this textfile, because it's pure crap!
Either these guys are extremely out of date about the Norwegian scene,
or maybe they are just plain stupid! (Refering to Stratos!).
Don't they think that we know what is going on in Scoopex???
Or maybe they have just taken advantage of the article written in RAW
some time ago about the so called death of Scoopex! (Even you all know
that we have NEVER been dead!). The (new) Norwegian div. is allready

The Saturne Party III will start on Friday, the 1st of September at 10:00am
and will end up on Sunday, the 3rd of September around 2:00pm.
The party place is the Parc des Expositions of Villepinte, just in the north
of Paris.
The hall is first 6.000 m² big, but we could extend it easyly.

\/ HOW TO REACH THE PARTY PLACE ??? \/
By car or bus :
In any way, you have to reach the A104 highway, which links the A1 (Lille) and
the A4 (Metz-Nancy) highways. It's near the Roissy-Charles De Gaulle airport,
about 20 kms north from Paris. Then, just get out at "Parc des Expositions",
exit N°2.
By plane :
You have to arrive at Roissy-Charles De Gaulle airport, then take the RER-B
train to Paris, and leave it at "Parc des Expositions" (it's the first station
after the airport).
By train :
From the "Gare de Lyon" station, take the RER-A train until "Chatelet" (it's
just the first one after the station), then take the RER-B train to "Roissy-
Charles De Gaulle", and leave it at "Parc des Expositions".
From the "Gare du Nord" or "Gare de l'Est" stations, you can directly take
the RER-B train to "Roissy-Charles De Gaulle", until "Parc des Expositions".
ATTENTION : about the RER-B, you have to leave it at "Parc des Expositions"
and NOT at "Villepinte".
Just notice that :
If you're organising buses to go to the Saturne Party III, just contact us
and you could get 2 free entrances to the party.
(2 free entrances for at least 25 persons' buses, to their organisers, if
we know it at least one week before the party).

\/ WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR THE COMPETITIONS ??? \/
Amiga demos :
The demo must run on an A1200 with 2 Mb Chip, and possibly 4Mb Fast.
The demo must run from DD disks only.
No maximum length, but stay reasonnable !
The computer configuration will be printed out during the show.
PC demos :
The demo must run on 486DX2-66 Vesa local bus, 4Mb Ram, SoundeBlaster Pro or
Gravis Ultrasound, output video is VGA 31Khz.
Maximum length is 4Mb.
Atari demos :
The demo must run on a standart Falcon 030, maximum length is 4Mb,
OR
on an Atari-ST 520 or 1040, maximum length is 4 DD Disks.
The computer configuration will be printed out during the show.
C64 demos :
The demo must run on a standart C64 with disk drive.
Vidéo-VHS :
Video tape format is VHS or S-VHS (Pal/Secam), Hifi-Stereo sound.
Maximum length is 8 minutes.
Amiga, PC and Atari intros :
Exactly the same as for the demos, but maximum length is 64kb (65536 bytes),
for all of those computers.
The intro must run without any other file (no library...).
Graphics :
Only one competition for all computers.
Maximum resolution of the picture is : 736 * 566, in 256 couleurs.
File is in IFF, JPEG or GIF format.
The picture's resolution will be printed out during the show.
NO scan, NO raytracing allowed.
All other graphics will compete.
Musics :
Only one competition for all computers.
File is in ProTracker 4 voices format.
No maximum length, but stay reasonnable !
NO big samples allowed, NOR copies of existing songs.
A jury will select a maximum of 30 modules, depending on the total number
of competitors, to be part of the competition.
And as usual :
- Everyone who wants to compete must be present at the party.
- Only one demo or intro per coder
- Only one picture per artist.
- Only one module per musician.
Notice what's new :
To prevent all crashes during the shows, all demos and intros will be first
recorded on video tapes, and eventually authors could be present while recording.

Gainful Awesome Summer Party
"We'll make you Gasp !!!"
This legal party will take place in Montpellier,
south of France from:
Friday, 11th of August 1995 (18.00)
to:
Tuesday, 15th of August 1995 (10.00)
We expect this party to be one of the biggest ever organised in Europe.
The entry fee will be about 195FF (40$), which will give you access to the
party place for four days
(Anyway if you pay before 20th of July 1995, price is 150FF...)

1. The Place :
==============
Montpellier, Parc des Expositions. A huge center of 20.000 m2 , with room
for more than 4.000 people and parking for everyone. The party place is
situated on the road to the Mediterranean beaches (less than 10 kms), in
front of the international airport (2 kms), near the motorway (4 kms) and the
train station (10 kms). A McDonald's and a commercial center is situated
very close to the place. A bus will drive around every two hours. A full
time cleaning staff and electrician will be present. A 24 hours a day
cafeteria will be opened with low price food.
2. The Competitions :

Amiga demo: - Must run on a A1200 standard (OS3.0, 2Mo of ChipRam, 68020)
It doesn't have to need Fastmem. Of course demos can also
work on A500, but it isn't necessary... 1 demo per coder,
anyway a group can compete with as many demos as they want.
Time limit: 20mn!
Amiga intro: - Same rules as demos, i.e must run on A1200 standard, 1 intro
per coder. Lenght limit: 40kb (40960 bytes!). No need of
library to work.
Amiga gfx: - 1 picture per graphist. Must be shown with the lastest
version of Deluxe Paint. Format have to be IFF. Scan and
raytraced pictures will be excluded!
Amiga music: - 1 module per musician. Duration: 6mn maximum!
Format protracker.
