- The Symposium '96 will be held on Easter 1996,
and will last from the 5th to the 8th April 96.
The party place is situated somewhere in Ham-
burg, Germany...
INTRODUCTION:
-------------
- The party will be organized by several people
from the following demo-groups:
Lego, Phantasm, Polka Brothers, Oxyron(C64),
Absence(Falcon) and Avena(Falcon).
- Nearly all of them have experience in organi-
zing such a event. Don't espect a low-standard
Party with the quality of other german parties
(e.g. Nexus -ed)
- This Party is planned for Amiga, C64, Falcon,
and PC.
- This Party has nothing to do with the Digital
UK Symposium. Only the same name...
WHERE:
------
- Party place is a nice convention place called
''Veranstaltungszentrum Burg Seevetal'' located
in the south of Hamburg, Germany.
- it offers place for 1000 people including com-
puters.
- location is equipped with large video beam,
dolby surround and all other things you know
from such events.
- the entrace fee will be 35 DM. Foreign curren-
cies won't be accepted.
- How to reach the party-place:
Train: - Hamburg Hauptbahnhof(Main station)
- take the S3 or S31(Gleis 4, HVV
price 4DM) to 'Hamburg'.
- there we will pick up you with the
Symposium shuttle service.
- Alternatively you may use the hourly
public buses to 'Seevetal'.
Plane: - bus shuttle service to 'Ohlsdorf'.
- take the U1 to reach 'Hamburg Haupt-
bahnhof'.
- now follow the instructions from
'Train'(above).
Ship: - take the U3 at 'Landungsbruecken'
to reach the 'Hamburg Hauptbahnhof'.
- again follow now instructions from
'Train'(above).
Car: - If you come from the north on the A7
('Autobahn 7') or B4('Bundesstrasse
4') you have to leave at the 'Ab-
fahrt' ''Fleestedt''. Then roll down
the 'Hittfelder Landstrasse e'(part
of the B4) souuthwards and follow the
sign 'Veranstaltungszentrum'.
- If you come from the east or west(A1)
then take the 'Abfahrt' ''Hittfeld''
and follow the signs.

- your production must run without inter-
action(except disc-changing)
- Amiga-executables must run on an A1200/020
with 4MB FAST RAM. But all will be shown
on a A1200/030 running at 50 MHz.
- The Graphic-Compo is anonymous. It's not
allowed that the picture contain a hint of
who the author is. You may copy a second
version(with handle) on the disc, too. This
will be the spreaded version.
Formats are IFF, JPEGS, and PNG
- Music compos are anonymous, too. Maximum
play-lengh is 3 minutes. No crunched mo-
dules allowed(4 Channel). Maximum size is
1MB(4 Channel), 1,4MB(Multi Channel).
- The 4k compo is anonymous, too. No music is
allowed.
- Intro-compo: Maximum lengh 5 minutes.
Falcon must use PSG music
- Demo-compo:
- not longer than 4 DD discs(Amiga)
- installation must not require
assigns, enviroment variables
or files copied to completely
different files on the HD(Amiga)
- demo lengh limited to 15 minutes

Like both our first parties, this one will take
place in the Cultural Center of Chelles.
This hall, situated in the East suburb of Paris,
is quite new and diposes of all nice features
for a good party (Phones, WC, FREE showers at
proximity :)
An highschool near the party place (about 100m)
will be our sleeping room.
A bar will be open all three days long during the
party with cheap eats'n'drinks for everybody.
Big and free parking.
Please notice those dates: 26-27-28 of April 1996.

You've got the choice between 2 machines :
- A1200 - mc68020 - 28Mhz - 4Mb Fast
- A1200 - mc68030 - 50Mhz - 4Mb Fast
(the used configuration will be printed out during
the projection)
Maxi size : 4 DD disks or 4 Mb on Hard Drive.
Maxi projection time : 15 minutes.
Only one demo per coder.
* Amiga Intros
You've got the choice between 2 machines :

- A1200 - mc68030 - 50Mhz - 4Mb Fast

* Musics
ONLY ONE competition for all modules.
Only 2 file formats authorized :
- Amiga ProTracker, 4 voices
- PC FastTracker, from 4 to 32 voices
All modules will be played under FastTracker II on
PC.
Maxi listening time : 3 minutes.
There will be a pre-selection of about 20 modules.
Only one module per musician.
* Graphics
Maxi resolution : 640*512 with 256 couleurs.
Only 2 file formats authorized :
- IFF
- GIF
No pre-selection.
Only one picture per graphician.
We will try to display pictures also on monitors
during the competition.
And of course, there could be some other surprise-
competition, like a disk-flying and other realtime
competitions...
All participants must be present at the party.
WHICH PRIZES ?

At the end of each competition, we will print out
a list with all seen or listened productions, to
help you in voting.
For each competition, you will have to choose for
3 productions.
All 3 firsts of each competitions, will win a
price.
As always, 50% of entrance fees will compose the
prices for those 7 competitions.
At the Saturne Party 2, it was something like :
720 entrances at 100FF -> 36.000FF for prices
1st in Amiga Demos -> 10.000FF
1st in Amiga Intros -> 4.000FF
1st in Musics or Graphics -> 2.000FF
All prices will be given in FF cash.
If we can get some sponsors, then hardware prizes
could possibly be added to that.

THE REMEDY 1996 - Be there or stay away!
If you wanna support Kickdown then don't
hesitate to contact me. You will find
my adddy in the adress-section(for elite
swapping, too).
You can send messages, and adverts (size
is 50*20) but also Party-Reports/Re-
sults/Invitations(if possible 50*20, but
not necessary). But if possible avoid
using strange symbols, thx!
If you are a musician, don't hestitate
to send us a (unreleased-) module for
Kickdown. Of course, you will be credi-
ted in the scroller if we include and so
use your tune.
The best way to support Kickdown is to
send very new intros. If you are the
first who has send us the intro and if
we use it you will enter the supporter-
charts.
