It is really quite simple: For removing the faces facing away from the observer, you calculate something called 
'the vector product' of two vectors running in the face you want to check.  This vector product wile a normal 
on the surface.  If it is pointing backwards, ie if the Z part of it is negative, you don't display that surface. 
The vectors you want to multiply can be calculated form the first three points in a face; you just re-arrange 
the order of these points until you get the face removed when you want (instead of the exact opposite).  One 
thing though;  you have to calculate this vector AFTER having applied perspective; this is bcoz a face going 
straight into the screen should normally be removed. This is enough for rendering so called convex objects.  
These are objects which are approaching (sp?) a circle; you can't have 'dents' in the objects, ie you can't 
have faces PARTIALLY overlapping at ANY point during your rotation. The nice thing about this is that you can 
draw ALL the lines first with EOR, and then just fill the entire set of bitplanes ONCE.                                                 
If you want to have overlapping faces, you have another way of doing it.  You sort the faces according to their 
Z-coodinates, and draw the ones that is farthest into the screen first.  Easy, huh?
