checksums removed

Rather unusually both QUARTEX and
RED SECTOR both missed the checksums
in both their respective cracks.
Stryx also used an early Andrew Bond
packer that was not very good and
the Atari ST inspired MFM format
capacity was also smaller than an
AmigaDOS disk!!!
Now game is 100 percent cracked and
one disked fully retaining the intro.
No AGA fixing on this release just
ensuring at least one ADF version
exists..... someone needs to do a
trainer!!!
Could there be yet more Scoopex
releases on the horizon?

Yeah so Quartex and Red Sector both fucked up... bit unusual as the checksums were not exactly obfuscated.... the programmer did not even use offsets so they really were easy to spot... and to make matters worse by leaving in the track protection read routine ensured that even if they removed the checksum the game would still not work correctly..... MFM format of the disk was incredibly wasteful and based on an Atari ST format so ended up giving less capacity than a normal AmigaDOS disk!!!!! The track protection read routine is the same as every single one in pretty much every early Psygnosis game with the added stuff on the end of the routine which both Quartex and Red Sector incorrectly cracked.... Red Sectors version was cracked to DOS but weirdly they did not attempt to compress to one disk..... Galahad sends greetings to the following chaps and hopes that he doesnt forget anyone.......
