it takes more than
good relations to
some of the major
spirits in this
branch of the
multiverse to code
good demos, good
coding is impor-
tant, too. i want
to tell you some-
thing about it.
the zoom effect
is a simple trick,
but it hasn`t been
done till now. the
pictures are not
digitized, if you
don`t believe me
just rip them and
take a closer look
the 144 vector-cu-
bes are 16x16 big.
to be more precise
it`s 136 bobs and
8 sprites, but
that doesn`t mat-
ter. my code is
twice as fast as
celebrandil`s, and
my is more innova-
tive and not just
another record,but
celebrandil got
perspective and
more colors. extra
luxus costs extra
time.
the starwarsscroll
is no trick at all
but pure processor
power. no copper,
no blitter, just
brute force. it
must be noticed
that a 20 column
starwars scroll
takes nearly twice
the time than a 10
column version.but
only a coder who
did one can know
this.
the scroll cube is
put together of
1200 bobs 8x8. the
problem was not
the blit, the pro-
blem was the cal-
culation of the
position (32 Bit
fixed point!) with
less exact calcu-
lations it would
look like in mes-
merized. (fantas-
tic demo anyway!!)

IN FACT, THIS DEMO IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE. IT WAS NECESSARY TO CHANGE THE SPACE-TIME-CONTINUUM TO MAKE IT RUN. IN SEVERAL SESSIONS WE ESTABLISHED A DIRECT LINK TO A BLACK HOLE TO GAIN PROCESSOR-TIME. THE CODE CONTAINS SPECIAL PATTERNS THAT FORCE THE INTERGALACTIC WORM-HOLES TO OBEY OUR WILL. THE PROBLEM IS THAT IF THIS DEMO RUNS TO MANY TIMES SIMULTANEOUSLY THE UNIVERSE WILL TIP OVER AND CHANGE INTO SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND MUCH MORE BIZARRE. CAREFUL CALCULATIONS REVEALED THAT DEMOS COULD BE EXTREMELY VALUABLE IN THIS NEW UNIVERSE IF YOU SELL THEM TO SOFTWARE-COMPANIES. LET'S TRY TO CHANGE THE WORLD BY LETTING THIS DEMO RUN ON EVERY AMIGA AT THIS SUMMIT!!!
DURING ONE OF THE SESSIONS GOD GOT ACCIDENTALLY CAUGHT IN MY DF1 AND WAS FORMATTED ---- SORRY GUYS.
FORMATTING GOD IS A TERRIBLE CRIME, AND IT CAN'T BE DONE WITHOUT BEING DETECTED BY THE VATICAN. TWO DAYS AFTER THE SESSION I SAW SOME SUSPICIOUS LOOKING GUYS SNEAKING AROUND MY NEIGHBOURHOOD. I FLED IN FEAR, ALL I TOOK WITH ME WAS THE FORMATTED GOD DISK. BUT THEY SAW ME. AFTER AN EXCITING HUNT THEY LOST ME AND I ARRIVED TOTALLY EXHAUSTED AT PANTHER'S HOME.
we (chaos and pan-
ther) examined the
disk carefully and
found out, that i
formatted it quick,
the data (god) could
be rescued !!!
we first tried the
diskdoctor, but he
was only half done
with his work when
the earth trembled.
all the sanity
stickers fell off
the wall, the Amiga-
monitor had terrible
sync-problems, dust
fell from the cei-
ling and we were in
terrible fear. we
tried every tool and
the sky turned from
blue to blood-red,
then to a fearsome
dark and finally to
a demon-like post-
yellow. it began to
rain disks with
illegal copies of
defender of the
crown and marble
madness, all with
a selections of the
most terrible virus
ever written, and
panthers room was
totally devastated.
but we finally made
it, i don`t know how
and why, but we re-
paired the disk.
WE RELEASED GOD FROM THE DISK, BUT BEFORE THAT WE CONVINCED HIM TO HAVE A SHORT CHAT WITH THE POPE ABOUT THINGS LIKE THE VIRGIN BIRTH AND CONDOMS. BUT WE PROMISED NEVER EVER AGAIN TO MESS AROUND WITH THE BASICS OF THE UNIVERSE...
