Finally! We are immensely proud to welcome you to Memorial Songs II !
Could we possibly have given you a better, although delayed, christmas
present? Can't think
of one. In this very musicdemo, we will satisfy your minds with music of
the wellknown Lizardking-style, but also of numerous other
styles, yet still made by Lizardking. If that's not enough, there
is a considerable amount of colourful pictures by Tony to rest your
eyes on. And don't be afraid of the few number of tunes on these 2 disks,
because many of the tunes are long, consisting of 2-3, or even
4-5 different parts. As they use to when made by Lizardking.
Maybe you've already seen the credits, but just to make sure, you will
in a few seconds from now be able to see them again, but in form of some
bytes of beutiful scrolltext: All music was composed, conducted,
arranged, written, produced, sampled, made, co-produced and composed again
by Lizardking. Main art was drawn, lined, painted(blah blah) by Tony.
All code and technical management by Psionic.. Additional graphics
by Diesel8. And if you didn't know already, we are all members of the ever
so beloved (at least we love it!) Razor 1911... Let's go for some
personal messages from Lizardking, which of course are not written in any
special order! Joakim "Deluxe" Falk: The CD got really delayed, now
didn't it? Say hello to your brother. He really deserves gratitude for
lending us the studio for a whole week! Martin "Mantronix" Wall:
Nice cooperating with you! I think it would be nice with some more teamwork
in the future. Having fun with the ASR? (I know I would if I had one...)
Anders "Dolphin" Ramsay: You seem to have a great need of new computers.
No wonder when you raytrace those complex videoproductions. Peter "Vital"
Eriksson: As I support your board in this production, I suppose you support
this production in your board. (Sounds fair doesen't it?) Whackbonkswish...
Patrik "Nightwind" Magnusson: I suppose that my computer would have more
bytes with viruses than with programs if you wouldn't have helped
me... I hate viruses! They always seem to have their sex parties on my
computer! I think you noticed... (but it's better nowadays...) I will
drop by and borrow some more videotapes! Boo of Talent: Thanks
for you letter and the very nice mag. You know how I am? A little bit lazy
when it's up to answering letters... Oh, you didn't get any paperplane
in your eye at Gathering94? I promise you will get one at the next party
instead (hehehe..). I just love paperairplanes. I know several kinds...
(Vanligt jetplan, svalan, flygande loopen mm...) Johan "Colorbird" Andersson:
Hello Comrade! You always say that you will bring the soviet-flag to the
parties, but you never do! Are you a wimp? I will perhaps send something
to you in a distant future...Who knows? I always send back very fast,
you know... (har, har, har!). Tony "Tony!" Turunen: Always nice working
with you... As the first Memorial songs, this one was quite delayed,
too... That's the end of the messages, I guess. Many wrote to me after
Memorial Songs 1, no doubt about that. I received at least one or two
new letters every day the first period. I haven't answered so
many of them, unfortunately. The reason for this is mostly lack of time and
money. I get to know so many people, for example at parties, so I already
know 'too many' people... And add to this: I am not a swapper! I can't
afford spending this much on stamps every week. It's impossible!
Anyway, I have got my own internet address, so if you want anything
special, just write to: lizardking@triton.ct.se Then you will
surely get a quicker answer! And now for a 99 percent complete
personal greetinglist (greetinglists are never 100 percent complete...)
The only thing is that most people here are related to the scene one way
or another.... Mattias (Vain) Näslund, Mel o dee, BMI (Basic Music
Industries), Studio Basement Recordings, Musikbörsen, Morrow, UGA Software,
Advanced Gravis, Thunor, Butch, D-Zire, Vital, Vogue, Mr H, The Loot,

Before the end of this text, I just want to say: take care,
and don't throw yourself in trouble. The life is short as it is!
Now press the 'Text' button above and chose another scroller. They're
waiting for you! Enjoy!
ÿFinally, after some very long delays, they are here!
The CD 'Physiology', featuring synthmusic by Lizardking/Razor 1911 and
D-luxe/Equinox, recorderd in a professional studio with loads of synth
equipment. There are many kinds of music on it, all from the atmospheric
Jarre-style to Lizardkingdisco and dance/house music. The Mindlitter
Demotape, featuring synthmusic by Lizardking/Razor 1911 and
Mantronix/Phenomena,
the best quality available on a tape... Due to freightcosts
I have been forced to raise the price a little bit, but all of you who
have paid in advance will of course get the old price.
If you want to pay by account, you can pay by Postgiro. This is easy,
because all currencies will be transferred to Swedish. Otherwise you can send
me cash (there's a high risk sending cash by mail) or pay by delivery.
The postgirokonto number is: 9213605-0.
Pay on delivery is a little bit more expensive...
I would prefer Swedish crowns(140 for the CD, 80 for the tape) or Us dollars
(16$ for the CD, 9$ for the tape).
In any case, don't forget your name and address.
In these prices, all kinds of postcosts, package, etc are included...
To order: Lizardking / Razor 1911, Gustaf Grefberg
Duvhökvagen 25, 85651 Sundsvall, Sweden...
ÿMany of you probably chose this text because you're curious. Never
mind. I won't be angry if you rip these tunes, I just want to set up some
rules! 1. I don't care if you use my samples, because I was first
using them! 2. However, don't use any of my melodies, parts of my
melodies etc in your own tunes! There is one exception for this,
and that's if you use any of my melodies, harmonies etc when making a cover
or remix! You will have to name the original version and the author (me) in
it! With other words, you are free to make covers of my tunes. Yet, if you
want to do this, you will have to Email me at:lizardking@triton.ct.se.
3. If you take my tune and claim that it is yours (some have tried), you
won't get a very pleasant future... The worst example of this was when I
attended a little party by renegade in Mora, Sweden, 1992. I had
composed a tune for RAW #3, called Wild Impressions, some months before
that. When the music compo was about to start, some friends came up to
me with a tune from a guy called Cede of Equinox. He used all
of my bass and drum tracks from Wild Impressions, and as he couldn't get
enough of it, he took large parts of the melodies and harmonies from
Mantronix' tune Overload, the second tune in 'Voyage'. Although he tried to
hide all this, changing it a bit, he had no luck. It just
sounded awful. The tune was disqualified and humiliated at the
party. Cede was not present at the party, but later he called
and apologized. That was ok, but later some moron spread a
rumour (as usual), and said that I was really pissed off and wanted to
'get' him... I wasn't angry at all, I just told him that I didn't like
it. And since that, I have never seen or heard of him again. As a last word:
it's OK to rip my tunes, spread them at the boards, spread them by
mail, but please...Let them be as they are! OK? Good! Then we understand
each other! ... ... ...
ÿIf someone is wondering where my samples come from, here is a quite
complete list of synths, rythm machines, CD's etc from where samples
are picked:
Korg Wavestation AD, Korg 01W, Korg T3, Roland Juno 2, Roland JD800,
Roland D50, Roland JV80, Yamaha SY77, Alesis D4, Roland TR909, Ensoniq EPS,
Roland TR 808, Roland TR707, Akai XR10, Kawai K4,
Ensoniq EPS 16, Ensoniq VFX SD1, Hipnosis CD, What's Next CD, Vangelis CD
and of course my own voice(guess where)!. Some additional samples from
a friend of mine, Mantronix of Phenomena (Martin Wall). Thanks man!
    End of info! ... ... ...
ÿDiesel? Diesel8? Who's who and why? The questions remain unanswered.
I am delighted that you've decided to spend some of your precious time
to read my humble scroller. And since you have, I guess I have to give
you something in return. Why not give you an orginial start with some
honest, unsorted, hello's? Great! They go something like this. Hello to
Deelite(still the unconquered no.1), Danny, Antex(Long time no see...),
Domain, Pride, Chromag(the silent one), Mop, Phantom, Louie,
Spaceman(well, don't know you, but I'd really like to share some Ozric
Tentacles with you), Archmage(the silent one II), Dolphin/Nxs, Christine,
Celtic, Lizard, Celebrandil, Rufferto, Jason and Joachim(fanatic members of
my fanclub...), Pace, Bult, the ex.Razor gang (incl. Roscoe), Zephyr,
Ukulele, Slash, Puh, Scanner(Nexus-news? Snark), Mount,
Wolfman (Relalalaxa...), Ozzie&Abadon/Rage(I love you too!), Wirefire,
Morpheus, Slabbe, Toxic, Alf, Ufo,
Wolf, Peppe, Lucky Strike, Zephyr and a special hug to all dear Razor 1911
members: Hammer(where's my editor?), D-Design(And we're all heading for
Lionheart(prutt), Saturn, Psionic(kalas-nicklas), Factor(rumble tumble into
the bar, order some more of those great drrrrinks!) and the other ones. Last,
but absolutely not least, I bow for the God, Heatbeat. What would I have
been without you? When you've come this far, you probably want
to know exactly what 'additional graphics' really means. Right? Well,
it means drawing all the fonts and texts visible, making most of the
AGA-conversions, drawing the mainmenu logo and editing all pictures so
that they would fit in a musicdisk. If this is worth a credit is up
to you to decide. Before I go, why not share some of my fave artists
with you..? Stina Nordenstam, Brian Eno, Ozric Tentacles, Massive Attack,
Galliano, James Taylor Quartet, Baka Beyond, various 12 inch remixes
and Paul Weller are all frequently placed in my CD-player, and I advise
you to do the same. I guess I have to end this short text with a big
'thank you' to all of you Razor 1911 and Propaganda(#5 out any year now)
voters out there. Without you(as Mariah gently sings), we would be nothing.
And most certainly not here. Thank you, thank you. Bye bye..
(If you haven't got my new address, here it comes.... Mats Johansson,
      Rydsvägen 306 A, 582 50 Linköping, Sweden)
Great. Excellent. Jolly good.
ÿThe Amiga scene has been around for a very long time, and I have been there
since many years. I think that the limit is reached when it's up to composing
trackermusic with four channels. Indeed it's very amusing to use all these
tricks just to make it sound like a lot more than 4 channels, but I am really
tired of it, no doubt about that. Don't worry, you won't ever get rid of me
completely, but I will cut down a bit, which means that I still will attend
most parties and release many tunes. (You should know how it is NOT to
cut down...). Many aspects of the scene are pure garbage -
just look at the bulletin boards where you can find pointless textfiles
all over the place. A good example of this is some textfiles
about me. I received one from a friend, which someone had
written just to
give me a bad reputation. He claimed to be me, and it was called
"Lizardking speaks out" or something. Then he wrote (in LOUSY English(Ehrm.
I won't comment that one, if you know what I mean/DSL8 comment)) that he was
the best musician, and so on... I don't think that I am the best musician,
(not the worst either), many musicians perhaps deserve being higher on the
charts than me(how should I know?), but that's not the point, is it?
The scene needs a recovery!
The music compos are getting worse all the time, while the sound quality is
getting better. (Unfortunately also the memorylength of the
tunes. Some compotunes are over 1 meg! If you are going to copy a tune
with that size you have to like it a lot...). I will probably never quit the
scene, because I'm also active on the PC scene (as a member ot Triton), but
I don't want to spend all my time in front of Protracker. When it's up to
music, I will probably work with
studiomusic, multimedia, MIDI or anything alike in the future... In the
other end I like
being with friends, girls etc. I am aware of the fact that I have complained
and been very critical to many other musicians, I don't know why. It's
perhaps to
survive in the scenejungle. Many people on DemoParties think
that I'm arrogant just because I sometimes don't have time to chat with them,
but have you considered that I either might be very tired (people sometimes
are at parties...), or perhaps I really am busy and have to do something
quick? If someone is offended by that, I apologize, but just
stop spreading pointless textfiles and rumours about me. OK? Well, that is
all in this scroller...
ÿAnd here is our strictly official Razor 1911 greetingslist...
Absolute, Alcatrash, Alcatraz, Andromeda, Balance,
