I (CRAZY CRACK) want to take now this opportunity to tell you something about the background of this demo. We began to start working on this demo, after Einstein and I desided to code a demo for the Cebit '92. Yes, you read right. It was 4 days before Cebit and we had nothing else than ideas. But who cares. Einstein thought that it would be very important for us to release something for the Cebit. And against all my doubts I agreed on condition that he will put all the parts together. We desided to make a One-Part-Demo, because we had some problems with our old Trackmo in the past as my trackloader was very fast, but which didn't work on bad diskdrives. I noticed that too late, because I checked it on my good NEC or Chinon drives, but not on (Matsu)shit(a) ones. Another reason for a One-Part-Demo was the fact that it would be spread better on packs. But as Einstein not being the best Coder and some other problems, especially time problems, we didn't finished the demo in time. And so we desided to take more time and care to make a nice, well-designed demo with well-coded routines and we desided to release it on the Pirates-Addonic-Party in Bremen. But this party was cancelled as you know. But I wanted to finish the demo either as I have finished my parts and had to wait on Einstein's and R.T.D's demoparts. But no one of them did anything and so I waited a very long time. Until I had enough and started to code the rest of the parts on my own to finish the demo in time for the great Commodore Democompetition on the 'World of Commodore '92' with really big prizes. But there was a deadline for the demo-competition and I didn't know anything about it, because no at comodore knew it, too ! Really no one !!! So we finally desided to release the demo - guess where ? - Yes, on the Cebit... And finally we managed to release the demo, where we planed to do it. And now some words to the demoparts themselves. R.T.D planed to code a kind of ringscroller in the future. And as I got an inspiration how to code such a one with an acceptable amount of rastertime I did it instead of him. And I thing it didn't look to bad, eh ? P.S.: I did the scroller with Sprites and without any help of the Copper or the Blitter and it took only on an avarage 3/5 Frame. The burning stars idea was ripped by R.T.D from the TV-Add of the Euro-Disney Land and the idea of the vectorscroller was also ripped out of the TV. But who cares. I can't say much about this routines, because I haven't code them. We planed that a jelly vector should be projected on each surface of the shaded Glenzqube. But as R.T.D. had several problems to code it, he projected a more simple objects on the qube. The 3D dotflag should be coded by Einstein. He did it after he had seen the Cebit-Intro from Amnesia. But he wasn't able to make a flag with more than about 1000 points and as he didn't finished his part either, I did it instead with not less than 2048 Stars. I know that the idea of the rotating 3D vectorpointscroller is pretty old, but after I have seen one with about 704 dots I was so impressed that I tried to code a faster one. And the result were not less than 1536 points rotating around all 3 Axis with real a perspective. But this routine didn't satisfy me and I made a really time- critical routine with 2560 Dots, hehe... Beat it if you can ! The silly glenzvektor with the shaded Mexxlogo inside was coded by me a couple of months ago, during a period of time where I made many experiments with the copperblits. Normally I wanted to show you a HAM-Vector instead, but as the HAM mode needs to much buscycles even with 5 planes, I wasn't able to code complex fullscreen ham-filled vectors. And I leave the routine out, because you could code as great vectorobjects with the normal blitterfilling, too. The endpart should contain of a 3D starscrollroutine with about 1200 Stars by Einstein, which he ripped from me. But as he didn't finish this part as well and 3D-Stars are lame and I have coded a routine, which could handle about 9000 Stars. So I coded a shaded inconvex vector Mexxlogo, because I had fun to code some inconvex Stuff. P.S.:This Vector consists of 132 Points and 106 Surfaces and it is redrawn in about 4 Frames. Really fast, eh ? Although I could have improved some parts of the code, but I had no time to do it. As you can see this is one of the demos which show that vectors are out. So it would be great if you all follow our example and stop coding stupid demos with shitty vectors! WE WILL NEVER CODE SILLY VECTORS AGAIN !!!!! (-:We will only code innovating ones (boah!):-) For the HD-Installer for this piece of shit contact us. This demo doesn't run : with less then 2Kb of free memory! with an 6502! with an AMIGA emulator on x86 (laaaame!) on Ataris! on AMIGAS with more than 20 external disk-drives! on AMIGAS with SVGA graphic-adapter! on broken AMIGAS! on 5 1/4" disks with R/W errors! on Siemens 2400 baud modems! etc. But it runs on Scream's AMIGA (nothing else runs on it!)! And always remember that One-Part-Demos are a sign of skill, because you have no memory to precalculate anything !!! This Demo is not allowed to be sold by any PD-distributors, unless an agreement with the creators of this product has been made. (C) %11111001001 by MEXX
