welcome to this nice little musicdisk from the one and only damage!!! it took us a bit of time to get this sucker out but now it's finally here... first some instructions, just in case ya know.... the button in the upper left corner exits hymn 633, so steer clear of it !!! the two arrows in the upper right corner of the screen change the speed of the ghostwriter (tm) typer ... the two arrows a bit lower change the contents of the module-menu / module-info / scroller-menu window ...clicking the right mouse button has the same effect while mouse pointer is over the window itself. tunes & scrollers can be selected by clicking lmb while two cutesy little flashing arrows point to the name of the desired module or scrolltext ... clicking lmb while in modinfo mode puts you back to module selector mode ... now let's continue to the left... a bit left from the center of the screen is the volume slidecontrol. just grab it by pressing lmb while over the knob and move the mouse... okay, next come the playcontrols... from left to right they are: eject, filter on/off, play, stop, pause/resume, one pattern backwards, one pattern forward, previous tune, next tune, pos show/playtime clock toggle and then one button which currently does nothing at all... okay, what's left?? well the playtime clock/position shower (the window below this scroller at the left side of the screen) can be toggled between clock/pos modes by pressing lmb in the window... the values in the pos show mode are the pattern number currently being played, the song position and the pattern position ... okay, that's all about that... okay, then for something completely different !!! should you become bored, just remember what you have been taught a few secs ago and see what other interesting scrollendahls we have to offer.... okay, without further ado, off we go... ... and now ... guess what ??? yep, that's right: text wraps.... damage 1993
some not-so-new damage news: first of all, our english division left damage, some guys formed a new group called chaos, some left the scene... all other foreign divisions except the swedish section were kicked out some time before that... as you might have deduced from the tunemenu, zandax has rejoined damage after an abscence of a few months. also one new graphician joined, an old friend of mine, known by the name mtr. some of our members are also at the moment a bit unactive in the scene due to the fact that they are doing their military service... shaman has a mere three months left, jack of hearts begun his service in january, so there's still quite a long time to go... furthermore brain, i (count zero) and mtr are most likely to enter the ranks of the finnish military the 10th of june 1993... some other guys will probably start wearing unusually grey clothes in early '94 so it looks like for the next 2 or 3 years we'll have at least a couple of members more or less missing from the action ... well that's life. also some new members might join in the near future, but read all about it in some other damage release. see ya... text wraps

now hear this, now hear this !!! articles and ads (no charge) wanted for damage report. details coming up, especially finnish speaking (and more importantly, writing) carbon based units pay close attention.... we in damage are going to release a second public issue of our internal diskmag damage report some time this spring. contents will include but not be limited to jokes and short stories, slightly (or not so slightly) focusing on the not so serious side. we'll also consider including any stories, jokes, opinions, wild partyreports and advertisements you care to send to us. please note that we intend to aim the mag mainly towards the finnish scene and hence include a large amount of material in finnish , but articles in english will also be accepted, provided they are deemed appropriate for the look and feel of the mag. the same criteria of course do apply what comes to the quality of articles written in finnish. anyway we are not too critical about what we'll include, so give it a shot if you like. as mentioned, advertisements will be included free of charge provided diskspace permits and you follow these guidelines: send text on disk, text size 25 lines by 39 or 80 chars, ASCII format. either leave the text for us to color or color the text by yourself like this: set colors in text with ESC + <color number> where color number is a single hexadecimal digit (0...9/a...f). Also include RGB values for each color used. gfx advertisements will be included provided we have enough free disk space and that they look good enough :) the format for the gfx ads is IFF brush, no stencil, hi-res non-interlaced (DeluxePaint medres) 16 colors, maximum size 640 by 200. clipart will also be accepted, same guidelines apply, although a few unused colors in the palette to use for text coloring will be appreciated. and remember that color 0 will be the background color. articles can be sent via normal mail or e-mail, see the ghostwriter in the top right corner of the screen for addresses. well i guess that is about all, send in those articles, the weirder the better, and wait for damage report sometime around 1st of may.... this is all we have space for this time, so bye for now... count zero goes away and starts to stuff all this onto a disk ... text restarts
