hello there freaks and welcome to the very
first issue of our brand-new
chipmusic-series called 'chip'.
as you may have noticed, this first issue
is dedicated to our own hollywood. he made
quite some chip-tunes, of which most have
never been released... now we thought that
this was an excellent opportunity to
release all those previously (un)released
chiptunes which hollywood made...
we hope you enjoy this little new axis-
production, although it doesn't contain any
stunning effects or something, mainly
because this is not supposed to be a demo
or something like that, with exclusive
routines and ideas...
well, that's all we would like to say as
an introduction... if you would like to see
'chip!' to be a monthly production, with
music from different composers, just write
to - anthony - and if there's the need we will
produce 'chip!' monthly! so, it's your voice
that counts!

a little text and i was so stupid to say yes.
well, actually i like to write a little text
since i think this demo is rather cool
(at this moment i haven't seen a tiny
bit of it but who cares?).
i must thank all of you guys who wrote me and
reviewed our latest demo called 'big time
sensuality' becoz it's very stimulating if you
do that. also special thanks must go to
lowlife who firstly asked me for axis.
i surely would have quitted the scene if i
wasn't asked. making midi-music is
much more fun but if you're in a
great crew, making computer-music is
as much fun....

enough sliming around, let's talk bullshit (?!?).
it's obvious that this demo is fully made to
promote hollywood's musical talents. well,
when i hear his music i really go wild,
especially his chippies. there's no-one who
can make better chip-musics than
our own english music virtuoso. i tried to make
some too but it's very hard i must say. i hear
you think: 'yeah, that bjork-module is very
simple to make. he only makes that sort
of modules.'.well, that's not true. i only
made three of those (one for a video-clip).
you can hear my best-module-ever-made-by-me
in our next demo.

well, as i don't know many people in the
amiga-scene yet, this were all my
greetings so far.. but ... i like to
get in contact with some nice
musicians to swap modules and tapes
(synth-music and so on). if you think:
'well, maybe that iso-dude isn't that lame',
you can contact me at my address to be found
somewhere else in this demo. as you maybe
have noticed, i haven't got an
amiga..(what!) .. well, sorry but i
prefer an atari st to an amiga becoz of the
great midi-software. if i didn't have a synth,
i would immediately buy a 1200. i used to be a
member of the st-crew sentry' but i went
to axis as our coder was gone for 'business'...
and real chip-music from the atari
isn't that great .....

first of all i want to welcome paradroid
to our team. i'll write to you as soon as
soon as possible. we both have a tight
schedule. i'm hoping i can give myself some
days off soon, otherwise i'm going crazy.
after having finished the national mascotte
for the dutch soccerteam called 'dutchy'
and some animations i have some spare time
left to type some text for this pack, which
is a design from t'vaan who is responsible
for the layout which is pretty cool i must
say (boris all the way again ? he's still
one of the best fantasy artists though).
well anthony is coming today to pick up my
snes-manual. yes finally anthony is going
to program on the still awesome super-nes.
i haven't done that much for the scene
lately, due to my work. and another
problem is that i still have to pay the
telecom about 900 dutch guilders, which
isn't that much but i like it this way.

yeppp... it's finally here... after i got
a bit bored of the amiga-scene (i had a
small computer-depression!) i finally
managed to get the job done...
'chip' has seen the daylight!
but, unfortunately it does not support
text from all axis-members... why? i don't know
but i asked a thousand times for it, and
since there was no interest i decided to
release it with the text i had.
also, sorry for the crappy-looking textscreens
but correcting all texts is a hell of a job,
and i know you all don't care...
