morning, the second day of our cool
Sun`N`Fun Conference. I have to be

Deadlines
Sum words concerning the DEADLINE!
Hi, Pencl/Arise wants to tell ya some
words about the neverending story
"deadline". On the spreadsheets we
wrote (MONTHS AGO) that our deadline
for all competitions would be at
Saturday, 21 hundred. Because of a
power breakdown ALL coders,
graphicians and/or sounders were
forced to re-do parts of their work.
We reacted on this incident and added
3o minutes, so the deadline was now at
21:3o. After the deadline was
reached, many guys came to me and to
other Arise-members and tried to
persuade us to take THEIR prods, even
if the deadline had passed. They said
things like "The other won`t know
it..." etc. Fucking unfair! We had
hard discussions in our Arise-room,
some had the opinion that we shouldn`t
take the deadline too serious because
some people had worked for weeks on
their trackmo or pic and if they`re 10
minutes too late it would be hard for
them to get their disk back. On the
other hand the deadline was said to be
at nine o`clock MONTHS before the
party itself began. People had enough
time to plan their time and the only
way to make a fair competition was
(is) to hold the given word: to end
the creative time at 21oo (21.3o)!
Finally we decided to stay at 21.3o
and to give no advantage to anybody.
I think next time we will hardly think
about even HAVING a deadline (who the
hell had the idea to make one??).
Okay, dudes, I think the angry one on
both sides should think about the
arguments, oki? See ya.
