*6 Fishwave had his Seenpoint, Mop had his
Rom, but I, sTRIFe, STILL have my FeedBack!
*1
We're proud to present another high quality
issue of this musicdisk-serie which has been
growing more and more into a diskmag as
well!
*4 Ladies and gentlemen,
*2 it's good to be back!
*
*4 Yeahhh you fucking wankers check this out!
We guys are crazy enough to do it, to
actually release something in the amigascene.
*5 The fucking amigascene doesn't deserve it,
but we're doing it anyway! You lucky
bastards!
*6There's a lot of nice shit in this production
and only a few lucky guys will probably ever
get to see it. You're seeing something
special here, something only you and a couple
of hundred others probably will ever watch.
*7Probably you won't realize how lucky you were
to experience this, until you're old and grey
and the amiga scene is long gone.
*
*5 y o u d o n ' t k n o w
*6 what you've got
*7 t i l l i t ' s g o n e .
*
*1Why is it so hard to finish a production you
have started on? This issue of FeedBack has
been in development for several months, and
yet, compared to the erocharts this is not a
big production.
*2 I think most people that have read a
diskmag have no idea how much work really is
put into the thing. You first discover this
when you try to make an equal production
yourself.
*3Diskmags are without doubt in need of support
to stay alive. In the long run, a small
amount of editors will get so fed up with all
the work that they give up. And this is what
we are all seeing, who's next up? Trashcan?
*
*4 I must say I am very happy to still receive
big amounts of module-support for FeedBack.
This is the very heart of the FeedBack-
project, now even some article support would
be nice for the future. Give it a thought!
*5The highlights of this issue is the interview
with fishwave, an interview revealing many
unknown sides of this guy I guess. You should
check it!
*6 Many nice modules to check out this time,
should be something for every taste!
*7I'm so exhausted after all the other stuff I
have written for this issue of FeedBack so
you'll have to excuse me if this welcome-part
doesn't live up to your expectations!
*
*1The scene has come to a point, where I wonder
who I'm making this production for. Had it
been a demo or intro or a normal diskmag it
surely would have had a big enough audience.
But who bothers to check out musicdisks these
days?
*2I remember the first issue of FeedBack back
in 1996, I got lots of comments on it, it was
spread very good, and I was all excited and
happy. It was my real entrance into the
scene, my first serious production.
*3Back then I felt it as great to release my
own pack with modules from friends. Today I
don't know any more, it's some kind of duty,
I just do it because I believe the scene
wants me to. But do they?
*
*4It's a philosophy I've had the entire time
I've been in the scene. I've often released
shitty prods, just to show people that there
is still life in the amiga scene.
*5People probably ask why we, apathy, released
those kindof shitty prods at the democompo at
tg'99. The main reason to why I released
that stuff, was because there were so few
real demos in the compo. I kind of felt we
had to do some fillers, so it would seem to
people that there still is support for the
compos held at parties. I'm afraid of a
situation where we only might see like 3 or 2
amigademos at the gathering. I fear that
when that happens, there won't be any new
amiga compos at a big computer-party like
that. There hasn't been a c64compo at
*
*5thegathering since 1996 I seem to remember, I
don't want to see the amiga end up in the
same situation.
*6And somebody has to make the crap! What
would winners be like if they didn't beat any
other crap-stuff? The scene needs the crap!
Without crap you won't hear people say they
can do better than that, with crap they'll
make something which beats the shit out of
the crap.. Respect the crap guys! ;) It
takes a lot of courage to release crap and
await the audience's reaction, but somebody's
gotta do it, if you know what I mean. :)
Haha!
*7A bit off track here, but I felt I just had
to get that off my chest, as I've seen some
upset people for these very exact reasons.
*
*1FeedBack of course ISN'T crap! You agree on
that don't you? Well I must admit I think it
is kind of crappy sometimes, small textwindow
and lousy code, but hey, it works. And I've
never heard anyone offering to do it better,
and I surely can't make it better all by
myself, so take it or leave it! The
important thing should however be the music!
*2But I can't help wondering, how many people
actually listen to mods when they want to
listen to music these days? The mods ain't a
part of the cutting edge technology anymore,
as I once believe they were. People today
seem to be more than pleased by downloading
the big mp3's and listening to them, who
bothers to download mods?
*
*3But I hope this is not the case with the
amiga-sceners, my heart hopes the amiga-
sceners still appreciate those old nice and
heavy mods, along the, maybe few but still
kickin', mods being made today.
*4It's nice to see that there's still musicians
around that master the art of tracking,
mastering to make great mods with small
sizes! Cheers to you all!
*7Yours,
*5 strife of *4apathy*5.

Composing date: 1997/1998
Module size...: 342870
*2 Words from the composer......:
*4 Virgill reassured us that there is no bug
in this module, it's his new style or
something this 'offbeat'. This module does
wonders to a hangover, while it also brings
out that great old-skool feeling of
experiencing something special!

*2 Words from the composer......:
*4 You might have some trouble getting into
this tune, as it has some rather complex
rythms and probably isn't in the most
common "scene-style" (at least not any-
more!!!). So listen to it several times,
and it might become more enjoyable!

*4Well first of all have to say hi to the guys
I've learned to know throuh swapping up
through the years! It's been nice knowing
you all, guess mostly you're waiting for a
letter from me these days or I'm waiting for
one from you.
*1I'm sure you all have a lot of cool stuff to
tell about your lifes now etc, but you can
tell me sometime if we meet in real life or
on the net or don't tell me at all.
*4I haven't got the time nor motivation to keep
up the swapping at the speed i had earlier.
And mostly when I get a send these days, it's
just filled with old mods, pics and some
shitty utils, so it's not like it used to be.
*1 He he.
*
*4Anyway, I've had some nice years in the swap-
scene, but now my life as a swapper is over.
The time I spend infront of my amiga these
days will be used for making productions or
support other productions.
*1Must admit that I still send 2-3 sends a
month, but this is only to group-members and
friends that don't have inet.
*4If there are some guys out there that still
want to do some letter writing, then send me
a cool letter and we can discuss everything
from girls to money and the meaning of life.
I still like to write letters.
*
*1And then I have to greet the guys on
#amigascne, not much life there anymore
really, not like the old days that either.
The swappers have missed out on some fun
times on #amigascne up through the years, now
it's not that much to brag about anymore
really. Well sometimes it's still nice. :)

From now on we will have global news in

big enough to deserve an own news section

interesting to read. Just a small newspart

*6 Fishwave & Seenpoint#10
*1 - --------------------------------------- -
*5 Fishwave shocked us all with the rather
different Seenpoint issue 10. Is this really
the end of this great mag, one of the last
true quality productions on the Amiga? Why
did it have to end like this?
*2After Fishwave's last editorial for the Amiga
scene, he leaves us all pretty much in a
mess.
*5 The FeedBack team decided to force some last
words out of this somewhat arrogant
character. The guy who has harassed Amiga
sceners in issue after issue, to other
sceners great amusement.
*
*6 In his last editorial Fishwave points out
that he no longer can afford new Amiga
equipment. What is this? Is he in a
financial crisis or something? Has he
spent all his money on his girlfriend, and
saved nothing for new Amiga equipment?
*1We found Fishwave in a sleazy pub in Germany
after his last Seenpoint release. He seemed
to be in another world when we arrived, but
took of his headphones when he noticed us.
*2 Fishwave wouldn't answer our questions
until we had bought him a beer. But by
the look of his dirty clothes from the
early 80's it was clear that this guy had
big money problems, something which he
of course denied:
*
*5Oh I really haven't got any financial
problems at all, and girls come and go (the
last one has gone, but hey, I am still
enjoying life). But the sum for an
up-to-date Amiga equipment by far goes beyond
what I'd be willing to pay to keep
participating in the Amiga scene. If being a
scene member is a matter of your hardware,
then I better leave.
*2 The stench from his old clothes isn't very
comfortable to be near, but I light up a
cigarette and continue the interview. No
wonder his girl left him.
*6 If it really is this bad, couldn't you let
the sceners sponsor you with an Amiga? Or
*
*6 at least borrow one from a friend? Tell me
you've got at least one good friend left?
He leans forward, and whispers something into
my ear:
*5I have got good friends left (there are many
of them, especially in the scene!), but in
fact I do not know anyone in the area I live
who has got an Amiga with 060.
*2Hmm, I can't help feeling sorry for the guy.
Not many guys live in such a dirty lowlife
neighborhood as he does. But I feel he has
let us know enough about his life, and ask a
different question:
*6Surely the situation of the Amiga scene in
this millennium is not good, but will this
*
*6make it any better? Wouldn't it have been
better to team up with some other editors, or
even hand the mag over to someone else? Or
is Seenpoint yours to keep?
*5I do not think that we will repeat the
mistakes of RAW. Writers shall not live on
the fame of Seenpoint, so giving the mag to
others is not thinkable. Also, it is
impossible to fill in the gap Sane and Wade
have left when leaving the scene. The mag
would just be so different at once.
Furthermore I do not have the energy to start
once again and find the right style.
*5If there are writers good enough to take over
Seenpoint, they are good enough to make a
magazine on their own.
*
*2It is understandable that Fishwave doesn't
want to give away the one thing in his life
which has given him respect. In the pub
there is little respect to gain for him, in
their eyes he's just a filthy lowlife German.
I feel we are lucky not having been thrown
out yet.
*6 Do you really think a mag needs competition?
I have only seen one good mag on the pc, and
I don't think it has much competition.
*5Have you seen a good mag on the PC? I
haven't seen anyone that would be comparable
to RAW, ROM, Generation or even Seenpoint.
Their articles lack Amiga's approach of
writing about demos, groups and sceners.
*
*2I didn't notice it at first, but he avoided
to answer if Seenpoint really needed
competition to stay alive. With his
editorial fresh in mind another question
comes to my mind.
*6 You don't think the scene has anything more
to offer you? Are the sceners left now just
some lowlifes? What did the scene offer you
earlier?
*5The scene and sceners are not the same. The
scene is a nice hobby and it offers you
things such as "fame" for example. I started
from 0 and went up to #1 on the charts -
enough fame. Furthermore I have built
something up and won the competition against
others. This is all you can do in the scene.
*
*5The only task left is to stay. However I
think it is time to move on to new
challenges.
*5I never said that the current sceners are
less worth, I just do not know them. I have
no contact to the many Polish groups that are
so highly active nor do I know the new
generation from Scandinavia or France. And
with my lack of motivation I am not
interested in making new friends.
*2It is quite clear that we are dealing with a
guy who has lost all hope and sees no future.
*6 Does he find the pc scene attractive?
*
*5I really do not know, he answers. It has very
little of the Amiga scene, but it is the only
scene I can join now that I won't be active
on Amiga, right?
*2Well he could always join the c64 or Atari
scene, but that probably wouldn't make his
future any brighter now would it? Being a
personal friend of Soda I have another
question involving soda.
*6Did you really think Soda would help you out?
Don't you know all he cares about is money
and girls? He has already had his moment in
the Amiga-scenes spotlight, with his retro.
*
*5Soda joined because Sane wanted him in the
staff. I must admit that I never had much
contact with him, but I think he is a good
writer. Too bad he joined too late and
couldn't work with the Seenpoint staff as it
was expected in the first place.
*2Yeah it really is a shame. I guess many
can't understand why Fishwave ended his mag
and career in such a tragic way.
*6 Do you think you'll ever regret this, regret
what you have done now?
*5Perhaps, but that's life. We all do many
mistakes, e.g. getting to know that last
girl that pushed me high up and let me fall
deep. But getting up is what you have to do
and look forward.
*
*1 Now the manager of the pub has had enough
of Fishwaves bad smell, and threatens him
with a real beating if he doesn't leave.
Obviously this is not the first time
they're having trouble with Fishwave.
*6 Fishwave, cool as always, puts on his
headphones again and heads for the door.
What is that loud music?? People are
staring at the strange bloke passing them.
From my corner I recognize the music, it's
condom corruption from Spaceballs'
"state of the art".
He stops at the door and starts yelling
"bring the big fat!" and "you're fat fat!"
"fat fat!!" to the manager, before he is
kicked out the door.
*
I try to slide unnoticed out the door and
run after Fishwave.
*6Any final words you might want to add to the
interview?
*5Please notice that Seenpoint is not dead. We
are not releasing an Amiga mag anymore, but
we are a kind of group now (with Sane, Wade
and me as members) and we are heading to new
projects. I can assure you that we have a
BIG project running dealing with the Amiga
scene, but it is too early to announce
anything.
*5I never ever left the Amiga scene! I am
still in Scoopex and I am also reading
magazines and watching some other stuff (at
*
*5least what's running on my Amiga). I also
might write some bytes for some mag out
there! But be sure to hear of that new
Seenpoint project!
*2Finally I must admit, that many of the
sceners around today probably have many of
the same feelings Fishwave expressed in his
editorial. I haven't seen the new Tbl demo
myself, although I've seen some other nice
stuff.
*6 The Amiga survived the millennium bug, but
nevertheless, the millennium probably
couldn't have started worse for the Amiga
scene. The future doesn't look bright at
all, especially not for the poor Fishwave.
*
*4 Maybe this article will ruin the scene!
*2What is it, that keeps people in the scene
going?
*2This is a question I'm sure I and others with
me have asked themselves time after time.
What is it that keeps me making production
after production, writing letter after
letter. What is it that makes me even write
this very article? I guess it is to find the
answer to the question I just made, but will
I find it?
*5What keeps us glued to these machines of the
80's, and to a scene with roots from the
80's, a scene which surely has grown quite
old by now. And all the people who have
*
*5left, what is it they have discovered that we
haven't. Have they found some higher meaning
to life than the scene offers them? More and
more of the sceners are disappearing, but
where do they end up?
*2One of the first and very basic rules in the
scene, has been that we are doing this for
fun, not for the money. But does the scene
really offer more fun, than you can get if
you're a rich guy who can afford everything?
*4Well if the year was 1994 then I guess many
would have said yes without a doubt, but how
about today, in the year 2000? When the
scene is merely a shadow of its earlier days.
Is this scene any fun?
*
*5I think not. The ones that do, are the guys
that still participate with own work to the
scene, and as we can see, that ain't many
these days. There are many others around,
but they have lost hope, it's not fun anymore
and therefore they don't bother to make
anything. Until, the day, it might be fun
again. And it won't be fun, until another
killer prod hits the scene again, like say
tbl's tint or some other of the earlier much
appreciated demos.
*1It striked me when I was in the military.
People wondered what was so good about the
amiga, what they were missing out on. Or it
was more like they couldn't understand why
the fuck I bothered to spend time in front of
a shitty computer like that. And now, I
*
*1don't have the answer anymore. I awaited tp9
to see if maybe this party, once the most
popular party of all, could give me an
answer. But it really didn't.
*3There are no stars around anymore, the
winners of the democompo were my very own
friends in Ephidrena. Have they become stars
now? Maybe in the eyes of newcomers if there
are any newcomers around any longer. But in
my eyes these guys are not gods like
jekyll&hyde and offa&eq once were in my eyes,
they're still just the normal funny Ephidrena
guys. I remember my first years with the
amiga and the amigascene. I thought the
popular sceners looked like cool moviestars,
because of the cool handles and the work they
had made. Through their demos they acted
*
*3like the coolest people on earth, but to my
great disappointment they were pretty much
just normal computer freaks with greasy hair
and fat glasses.
*5The amiga has not made me famous, not made me
rich, it hasn't made me anything. Not even
more happy than others. My first contact
with the amiga, was when I was in a kiosk
many years ago, and stole a disk from an
amiga-magazine with superfrog on it. From
the looks of that disk I knew it would
contain something great, I just had to get
the computer which I could run this disk in.
And it was great too, and I was hooked.
Little did I know, that this disk would keep
me hooked on this machine for years and years
to come. Little did I know that I'd be one
*
*5of the so called swappers on the scene. In
my early days I thought guys like these were
really strange, why did they bother? I just
went around in my town and got whatever I
wanted from friends and soon I knew bunches
of guys with amigas in my town. But these
guys disappeared, so I ended up as a swapper
myself, and it didn't take long before I was
as hooked as they once were. Waking up to
6-7 sends in the mailbox was a great start on
the day, and if there weren't any it was a
disaster.
*6It was almost like I didn't have time for
friends anymore, who needs normal life when
there's something as great as the scene. And
I was perfectly happy, it was still the glory
days of the amiga, at least in my eyes. It
*
*6was almost like a fever, I had to collect
everything, first it was every game I could
get my hands on, then the demos. I had to
have them all. Tv suddenly got very boring,
the amiga-scene had taken control of my life.
*4Now, years later, I find myself in front of
the same computer. Nooooo, it isn't over!
It can't be! In my desperate attempt to
prove there's still life in the scene I
release productions, maybe not very good
productions, but at least productions. I
have to do it! I can't stop, it's
impossible. Trapped in the amiga-scene for
all eternity. Let me out of here!!!!!!! I
want a normal life!! I don't want to be a
part of this dying scene!! Take me away from
this radioactive 1084s!!! It's over, can't
*
*4you see? Stop releasing your productions!
End this once and for all! Let the amiga die
with respect!
*2I'm now at a crossroad. The same crossroad I
was at back in 1996. Back then I chose to
follow the amiga-scene path, and bought
myself a blizzard 1230-iv with 16mb ram. I
don't think I regret that, as I experienced
some great demos which never would've worked
on my standard amiga1200. Who knows where I
could've been now, if I hadn't done that.
Now a choice has to be made again. Do I buy
a 060, or do I simply let the scene go... I
think some of those who still only have a 030
or less, will go for the last choice. The
scene has seen its best days, hasn't it? The
last fresh breeze has blown through our
*
*2scene, and the scene is taking its last few
desperate gasps for air to survive.
*4Maybe this Millennium can be the start of
something new, the start of a better life.
And I'm not talking about buying a pc. Maybe
it's time to make some money, big money, get
to know the important people in this world.
Start competing against people in other areas
than the scene, like say, tennis, sailing,
mountain-climbing, hangliding, maybe it's
time to go out there, and experience life on
this planet, time to visit america, africa,
china, japan, who knows. Only your mind sets
the restrictions, and that stuff called
money. And of course you'll have to find a
gorgeous girl who'll come with you. So while
you're earning all that money for your plans,
*
*4you can always look around for the perfect
girl as well.
*2So if you're ready for this new life, all you
have to worry about, is where you can earn
the money. Well, there are ways, there are.
You just have to find them. I've found one.
And it's a very obvious way, the
stock-market. If you just have a small
amount of money to invest, you can earn big
money in this game. And you don't have to be
lucky, you just have to get the right
contacts, get the right tips. And the
stock-market today in the year 2000 is
completely different from the traditional
stock-market. You can get all the contacts
over the net, you can do all the investments
over the net. Of course there's the risk of
*
*2getting false information, but if you just
watch the game from the sideline before you
start putting your own money into it, I'm
sure you'll learn how to survive. The only
problem I can see is that you might not find
this interesting at all, you might find this
boring. Much more boring than the good old
amiga scene. But the opportunity is there..
*5On my first investment which I made a couple
of months ago, I made 100% on my money during
two weeks. That was a lucky strike, but
making 10% on your money during a week is no
problem, even sometimes 10% during a day is
easy. You just have to make the right moves.
*
*2So you can take my advice and try out a
different life, or... you can stick to your
amiga.
*5It sucks to be part of a dying scene...
*7Yours,
*5 strife of *4apathy*5.
*
*5 "I'm ashamed to say it, but, I'm a scener!"
*1Yes my darker side, known as strife of
apathy, is something I try not to mention to
'normal' people, especially not girls!
*4Don't you just hate it, when people ask what
you do? You can't very well tell them you're
an amiga freak hooked on an ancient machine,
now can you? If you do tell them something
like this, then most likely they won't take
you for a computer freak, they'll just take
you for a freak. And who wants to be a
fucking freak? Not me!
*5The scene is a 80's and 90's phenomena, the
sceners of this millennium, are just old
hippies, guys that do their best to hide
*
*5their identity while they're out among
non-sceners. Why is it that we suddenly are
embarressed of our scene?
*4One reason, is probably the amiga itself.
This machine is starting to look really old
and ugly. It's not something that will make
your living room look nice, most amigas
probably look like piles of junk, with cables
and loose hd's and cd-drives all over the
place. And if you've managed to put it in a
tower, it's some HUGE freaked out tower
making you look like the worst computer nerd
in town.
*1I went to TheGathering99 without my amiga.
If you don't need to work on productions at a
party, then why the hell bring an amiga?
*
*5What can you do on an amiga in 2000, at a
party? The only thing which pops into mind,
is to watch old demos and think of the good
old times.
*1But just to give it a thought, what did the
guys at tg99 that had amigas with them do?
They either used telnet to some bbs, they
chatted on irc, they tried to fix errors on
their hd, they tryed to clean up their hd,
they worked on some production, or they just
looked at the shit and moved the mouse.
*4Here's a stupid idea! What if the amiga-guys
at partys start to make their own compos. It
could be as simple as getting highscores in
some game, say SlamTilt or beating the shit
out of some other scener in MortalKombat2.
*
*4 With some creativity we could have other
much more interresting compos.
*1Sceners could do boxing in real life, say
frequent/ephidrena versus mj/iris. Obviously
it would end with freqent biting mj's ear
off. And while we're at it, why not do
wrestling with spaceballs versus dajormas.
Wouldn't you love to see dajormas doing a
body slam on slummy/spaceballs?
*5No but seriously, at partys you really ought
to do other things than to sit infront of the
computer. At tg an obvious thing to do would
be to play the laser games there. And since
there are so many girls at tg now, hell why
not get hold of some girls and go out on a
pub or disco or whatever. Or take them to
*
*5the tg-cinema and see who can get laid first.
Great compos man, with lifelasting memories!
*4But when an amigascener arrives at a party
like tg, he just starts to walk around and
stare at all the pc's and get depressed at
once. And just goes around feeling all
lonely, and talk to other depressed
amigasceners about the good old days. And
then release some stuff in the compo just to
show people there's still strange people that
use time on this computer. Come on, is this
a party?
*1No wonder there are less and less amiga guys
at partys. Because this is not how we want a
party to be! Any party can be great, a party
is what you make of it yourself. You can't
*
*1really blame the organizers for a lousy
party, blame the amiga scene itself! It's
the amiga scene that is lousy, not the party
organizers.
*4So this is why I'm not very proud of being an
amiga scener any more. Because it is all
getting very boring. And I almost feel that
I'm wasting my time in this scene, I feel it
hasn't got anything more to give me. Being a
famous character in the amiga scene, can't be
any exciting today. Well I don't know.
*5Anyway, it seems to me that the iris guys are
able to do a lot of cool stuff at their own
partys. Or maybe I'm wrong, maybe they just
smoke pot and get drunk and then just think
of the good old days like all the others.
*
*5Don't you guys want to do other stuff than
making prods? I heard some polish sceners
maybe would come to norway this summer, to
visit some of us norwegian sceners. Great
idea! Sceners really should start to
organize alternative partys! Why the hell
can't sceners do a party in Ibiza? :)
*1Now ofcourse we could do other stuff than
just partys, we could for example do a trip
through europe to visit different sceners.
How about that? Now here's another tip!
There should be more partys in the summer!!
That's when we have time to go away to
another country. Well I'm open for
suggestions this summer, in the meanwhile I'm
saving up some money. And until the scene
*
*1gets more fun and alive, I'm not telling
people I'm an amiga scener. :)
*4So go on and use some of that thing called
creativity and make this scene more
interresting to be in!
*
*7 What kind of a life do we want?
*6There are so many directions to choose
between when you're making up your life. But
how many actually make up a straight line and
work hard to achieve their goals? How many
even bothers to use some time to discover
what they can do with their life?
*1I think that most decisions people make, are
the easiest decisions available to them.
People don't really care what they do, they
just do something and choose something. Most
people don't care who their friends are, they
just bump into some guys and they become
friends. I guess it is the same for many
when they are on the lookout for girls. They
just bump into some girl and think, hey she's
nice enough, why not.
*
*5But where's the fun in this? Shouldn't life
be a bit complicated, shouldn't we set goals
to strive after to achieve? Doesn't anyone
believe in the saying: "If you just put your
mind to it, you can accomplish anything!"
*1Let me take an example here, myself! I'm 20
years old, the world is lying for my feet,
ready to be conquered. But I have chosen the
easy path, right from the start. I'm
studying at the nearest school, studying to
become the same as my dad, a computer
engineer. How typical! I've saved money up
through the years for my education, but I've
chosen the easy path, I live in my dads
house, it takes me 10minutes to get to the
school, this education don't cost me shit.
Why did I save up that money?
*
*6I guess you can put the humans of today into
two main groups. You have the ones who don't
give a shit and watch TV, work some place,
and got some kind of marriage going on. Then
you have the people that want to become
something, that want to achieve things. Most
likely both these groups of people want to
earn as much money as possible, but isn't it
most likely that only the ones in the last
group are the successful ones?
*1Your life will become what you make out of
it. To make this comparable to the amiga
scene, let us say you've been sitting with a
shitty amiga for many years. Why don't you
buy a better one? Surely this would make
your life just that tiny bit more better.
Of course it's a case of money,you don't want
*
*1to spend more money on an old computer like
this. But think of it, aren't you going to
stick to your amiga for a couple of more
years? I'm sure most of us can afford a
better amiga, we just feel it's a waste of
money. But is it?
*5Back to the bigger picture. What kind of a
life do you want? Do you want the standard
safe life, a small house, an ok wife and some
ok kids, an ok job? Or do you want something
a bit more challenging? Won't life be very
boring if there are no challenges? I think
so.
*4Maybe you thought I was just some apathetic
guy because of my group Apathy, but I'm not.
I want to achieve things, I'm just not sure
*
*4of what to achieve yet. One thing is for
sure, I want money, more money than the
average guy. But I also want to get to know
good friends like the average guy has, and
maybe even keep them for a while. Or, Hmm,
no shit I don't know what I want. One thing
is for sure, I do not want to make shitty
prods for the amiga scene the rest of my
life. But I still want to have you all as
friends. Is this possible?
*1I'm really wondering which path to follow.
Should I take the safe path and just take an
education which will give me a job and enough
money to survive. Or, should I take more
risks, and maybe get to live the great life
most people just dream of?
*
*6Of course this article was just a filler,
since most of the other amiga sceners hardly
would bother to help me out. Seems like you
all have your own precious lifes to care
about, don't you? :)
*7Is the scene today still friendly? I don't
think so, I think we all think the others are
stupid to keep on staying with this computer.
Boy you're stupid!! Just as stupid as me!
*
*5
Groundbreaking news for the millennium!
*1 Great news from every corner of the amiga-
scene is flourishing in the beginning of
this millennium. It's almost too good to be
true, you're probably wondering why so little
is getting released right now, well, we have
the answers.
*4It all started, when jekyll called his mate
hyde in andromeda January 2000. His amiga
had survived the millennium change, and so
had all his unreleased sources. They have
both decided to make the number one killer
demo of this millennium, like their
nexus7 was the last millenniums killer demo.
*
*4 When Lord Helmet heard this, he at once
pulled his amiga out from the dust, and is
now spending all his time on a new issue
of Raw. You'll be seeing so much Andromeda
bullshit articles you'll hardly be able to
believe your eyes.
*1Offa and Eq didn't know about this before we
informed them, but they are not going to be
remembered as the guys that almost got as
famous as andromeda. They are now working on
a demo which they believe will beat the
shit out of the andromeda demo, as they put
it.
*5Meanwhile, when the rumour reached germany
azure got all fired up. With the silver
medal from his last fight against tbl fresh
in mind, he has now sworn to make revenge.
*
*5 He has been working on a killer demo for
the last five years, it's actually almost
finished, and he can't wait to beat both
andromeda and tbl.
*1 When Skarla heard of this, they understood
they had to teem up with Essence again should
they stand a chance to be among the top ten
demo-entries at thegathering'2000. Yes
that's right, it's all gonna blast off at
easter in the famous viking ship in norway.
The crusaders have anounced that they too
are working on an amigademo, which ofcourse
is understandable when the prizemoney
estimates to 50.000$.
*
*4 Just to make the game harder, the compo
machine will be just an a1200 030 50mhz with
no fpu. This is how the majority of the
groups making demos wanted it, and hyde
comments the case:
*5 I can't wait to show the people what I am
able to pull out of the 030! Floppy can
just go in the corner and be ashamed! Real
hardcore coders don't need 060's! Remember
what I could do with a standard 1200, a
030 will do wonders to my code!
*1 Earliar rivals Loaderror/Ephidrena and
Slummy/Spaceballs have decided to team up,
winning tp9 was a piece of cake compared to
the bloodbath this is going to be, loaderror
comments. Winning tg99 also was a piece
of cake slummy adds. The winner of tg'2000
*
*4 will be remembered as the best group ever,
this is something we have got to give our
best shot! Finally an opportunity to show
that we are just as good as the old legends,
the two says!
*5 When fishwave heard that Raw is opening up
again, he got very scared. "Ohh no! I
thought seenpoint was going to be remembered
as the last quality mag-release on the
amiga!" Fishwave is now certain that we
will see a seenpoint#11, and it will be
better than raw#10 he says, no matter how
good Raw#10 will turn out to be.
*1Meanwhile DISC by gods has been in the making
for several years now, and for a reason. It's
going to blast your head off they scream.
*
*1 Scheduled release is for tg2000, and they
will make it!
*4 Needless to say, all the other famous mags
are also being blown life into again.
*5Louie is now painting the most sexy girl you
could ever imagine, he is certain to win!
"The only problem is", he says, "that I get
so horny I have to wank off every 5 minutes
while drawing her."
*1 With all this fuzz in the amiga scene, all
the old demogroups are waking up again, and
most likely there will be over 50 demos
released at tg'2000! Rumours has it there
will be more than 2megabytes of 4k intros
competing, and Nature says they have the
winning 64k intro ready, but little do they
*
*4know of the fierce competition they probably
will get from every other group that have
graced the amiga scene up through the years.
*5 I even heard Budbrain#3 is in the making,
and the guys behind it are certain that
this style of a demo will be just as popular
as it once was. They are ofcourse hoping
the few pc lamers/newcomers at the party
will vote for them. But if you should want
a ticket for thegathering2000 you have to
hurry, more than 3000 amigasceners have
allready reserved tickets. I guess it is
needless to say that the few pc guys that
might turn up are risking their life,
who knows what the crazy amiga sceners will
do to them when they start their party.
*
*5 This is gonna be the ultimate party of our
entire life, tg2000 is the place, don't
miss out on it. Many guys thought 2000
was going to be the worst year for the
amiga scene, now it's turning out to be the
best year ever. *1Lets party!!!!!!!!!
*
*4 Hey who are you?? What are you doing?
*1 Get off of me! Noo don't pinch my arm!
*5 Oh my god! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
