 Memorial Songs Disk #2

Finally it's here! Welcome to Memorial Songs, and we hope you will have a good time with it! Some general info: All music was composed and arranged by Lizardking of Alcatraz. Main code by Calypso of Mauve. Main graphics and design by Tony of Alcatraz. Intro code by Colorbird of Scoopex, and most of the fonts you see here is drawn by Dwel of Alcatraz. The info itself... what do we need to tell? Most must be quite obvious! Click on the different gadgets to choose module, scroller, credits or the endpart. Do not choose a new module all the time, because many of the modules consists of 2-3 parts!

Some Info About the tunes... Ok... Many months of hard work is behind this musicdisk, so if you like it then spread it all over the world! Elimination: The first tune being loaded when you reach the menu. It is about 150kb in memory, and is about 3 min in tunelength. Some of you might already be familiar with this tune, It is my competitiontune from the Aarsparty-92. That version is much longer in memory, about 290kb i think. Next tune, Varanen: This tune was used in a slideshow (Against Fashism), but not so wellspread, so I decided to use it here, too. Memorylength: about 170kb. Lizardking's theme: This tune is a bit special. It is meant to be some kind of musical score (for some TV opera or something...)
Listen to it and judge for yourselves! Memorylength: about 145kb. Glutturale Glopping: I can not say anything special about this tune, because there is not anything special about it... Except for the special lite cute chords in it... Memorylength: About 130kb. Welcome home: This is the memory-shortest tune on this disk (about 70k), and it is also probably the oldest (More than half a year). Blind Intro: This tune (According to the name) is the one you here in the intro when you boot the disks. It can as you see also be choosed from the modulesmenu. This one is very special. The robo voice you hear singing is me!!! (singing through a vocoder ofcourse!). Memorylength: about 160kb. Bosvedjan Jam: This is a Jazztune (I think...) and... well... judge for yourselves... Tango Love Song: This is probably the first real tango on the amiga? is it? well, I havent heard anyone before this one... But if you think I am wrong, write to me and send the tune you think was before mine...

Following synths and drumtracks were used for making this musicdisk (I love synths!! / Lizardking) : Korg Wavestation Ex, Roland Juno II, Roland D50, Casio Vz1, Ensoniq VFX SD1, Akai X7000, BIT 99, Korg VC10 Vocoder, Yamaha Cs5, Roland JV80, Roland Rhodes 660, Yamaha Sy22, Alesis D4, Boss Dr550, Roland R5... And some sampling CD's and some ordinary records were also used... Some people deserves a thank for lending or letting me use their machines: Anders(waverider/orbital)Lundquist, Mattias(Vain/X-Trade)naslund, My sister Ylva, Rainer(Brainbud/Alcatraz)Nilsen, Daniel(Krull)Johnsson, and finaly to Dynesius Musik (Sundsvall) for lending me soundcards for Wavestaion.

So you have decided to contact me? well, very nice! But you must consider some things first. I am both buzy and sometimes quite lazy, so dont count with an answer. I will only answer letters I find interessting, and will not answer any letters which goes like this: Do you want to trade technotapes and hot stuff with me, blajblajblaj... or like: hello, could you send all your latest unreleased modules to me?.. blajblaj... Im not so much for trading. Trading is probably fun, if you have time for it. I dont have any time for it, I have school, Composing music (both amiga and real music), Meeting friends etc... But if you are an interessting person, which writes interessting letters (or sends good modules), you can count on an answer! Now, when you have read this crap, here comes my adress: Lizardking of Alcatraz, Gustaf Grefberg, Duvhoksvagen 25, 85651 Sundsvall, SWEDEN. Or if there is sometinh ergent, call: +46 (0)60-101418. (not early mornings, please!)

What? A musicmovie about the scene? Well, yes... Me(Lizardking) and Lars(Vanity)Forsberg are going to release a musicmovie about the Amigascene. The movie will be about 10-15 minutes long, be put together in a TV-Studio, and will probably contain the following: 10-15 minutes "real" music, Takings from famous demos adn intros, Takings from some parties and some specialeffects (a secret!). As an computeruser(or not) you may jon our competition! 5 persons will win a free casette with the movie, and we will also draw one lucky winner who will get a starprice (the price will depend on how much respons this will get.) The only thing you have to do is: Write down your 5 favourite demos on a scrap of paper, send (if you want) your 3 favourite pictures on disk (this is not necessary, but gives a higher chance to get a price.) well, and then send all this to Lizardking (you will find my adress in one of the scrollers). ... ...

. Here's my address: Tony Turunen Dristigsv. 18 810 28 Jarbo Sweden
I will only say one more thing: CREATIVITY RULES!
Yes... I'm Calypso/Mauve, and nothing else... you have probably never heard of <Mauve> but you shouldn't have either, because we started it some months ago and we haven't released anything yet. We are right now working on a music-disk (for quite a long time actually) that hopefully will be released soon. Wanna know the style of the music? ..hehe... make a guess... well it will have the most wonderful techno-music ever made on Amiga. Dont trust me? well check it out and judge for yourselves (when it's released), it's called ...Biomechanic Dreams... if we include the things we have planned it will have a very original style too. Ok, enough about ourselves, this is the Alcatraz music-disk, so enjoy. I think that the music and the graphics here is something special ...the code? hmm...what code? coding a music-disk must be the easiest thing the code of all (maybe a slideshow is easier, but haven't tried that). It was quite easy even though I had to make the loader work with two drives and checking for disks and a IFF picture shower. This should be working on most computers but I haven't checked so many, so if you got a computer it doesn't work on, please contact me. And now I want to thank the bug-testing and truly friend on internet: Milano ... for testing this and other things on his expanded Amiga... Thanks!!! you have helped us a lot, anything we can do for you? just tell us, see ya at IRC. And BIG hi flies over to: Slammer/Melon Dezign ...Party on man!!! hope you will love our music-disk. Kefir/Legend - got my letter??? some hello's to: Device/Impulse, Outland/Cryptoburners, Doctor Psi/Zenith and Nikon/Darklords
