Code + cheeky gfx: Anton
A.Kirczenow@uea.ac.uk (before 31 July 98)
anton64k@hotmail.com (if desperate!)
akirczen@sfu.ca (around Sept. 98?)
+ PNG libs for background pic, also very portable!!!
Command Options:
----------------
- Not on this platform!
Requirement:
------------
- PPC & must be capable of 16 bit color. It runs fine on my 7200/90, so speed shouldn't be a problem!
- Make sure you get the gfx & sfx files from the Megademo IV Homepage:
http://come.to/mdiv2
Put them into gfx & sfx folders in the same directory as the app.
- Don't chuck away the mgfx folder! Yes, I grew those RD textures myself! And I can click on Photoshop filters, aren't you impressed? :-)
Notes & Bugs:
-------------
- I think it's supposed to look like that! It would look better in 24 bpp, but my monitor/video card doesn't go that high. :-( Can anyone explain the kitchen machineries dancing around with each other? Welcome to the First Church of Appliantology!?!
- I think it's supposed to sound like that! Wierd...
- Esc to quit, space skips to next part. Timing results are saved into the file "benchmarks.txt" so that you can tease your friends about how much faster your G3 is than their puny Pentium. :-)
- MDIV2 (still!) took less time to port than to install/crash/delete IE 4.0 in the hope of getting C/Komplex's Java demo "Forward" to work. I still haven't got "Forward" to work on my Mac BTW. Write once, run anywhere my arse! :-P
