Here's a fixed version of our JKF 4k intro, originally released in July 2000.
This too still is as boring and never ending as it ever was...
But at least now it runs on a 64 bit OS and doesn't switch to 640x480.
This one needed a bit of work because I don't seem to have the source any more...
So I hex edited away the display mode changes and glScissor calls to take of that,
now I was left with a buggy timer. I didn't feel like doing that in a hex editor, so
I wrote a little loader and embedded the original exe in that. The loader handles
the imports and returns a new timer function for the timeGetTime import.
timeGetTime() is great except when you directly convert its return value to a float
and you have an uptime of several months.
Crinkler still got it under 4k.
Please keep in mind that this intro too is from a time when 4k intros were written
in asm and for DOS, not C/C++ and Windows :)
It came 2nd in the combined 64k/4k intro competition at Scene Event 2000.
That's 2nd place out of 2, mind you ;)
The original version is also included, both in compo format and uncompressed.
