Written for the 64k Graphics Demo Contest with 1084 bytes spare...

...the first Mac demo with a raytracer (?)

Cosmid 1 is a celebration of living organisms and our increasing understanding of them.  From Charles Darwin's "On The Origin Of Species", the publication (nearly 100 years later) of the structure of DNA and the proceeding explosion in molecular biology, to the present day where we have the whole genomic sequence of an animal.  This theme was inspired after reading "Unweaving the Rainbow: Science, Delusion and the Appetite for Wonder" by Richard Dawkins.
