Music Contest ][ Update 3 - changes and schedules
Hello folks,
This letter has a lot of information concerning Music Contest
][, so listen up.
Just to remind you, all of the distro sites have my entry-
checker program that allows them to know which entries they need to
download and upload. This appears to be working well, and I am
sending out another list of known entries today.
A while back, I wrote you and said that you could enter your
Composer's Competition entries into Music Contest ][. I did this
under the impression that CC1 would never be finished. Well, this
week, I have heard from 3 independent sources that Mike Phillips IS
in fact going to try and wrap CC1 up. This presents a bit of a
conflict of interests. At this point, (and I hate to do this), I am
going to retract the offer to enter CC1 entries in MC][. Once again,
**CC1 entries not allowed in MC][**
However, I will delay the end of the contest until September
the 5th so that those of you who were going to enter your CC1 entry
have time to get an original song down for MC][. Once again,
**End date for MC][ has been changed to September 5th**
I am very sorry for this inconvenience.
Here is a tentative schedule for Music Contest ][:
September:
1-5 Get all voting stuff ready to go
5 Music Contest ][ ends
6-10 Collect all entries
8? Send out verification list of all collected entries
10 Voting material goes out
11-17 Voting material collected
18-23 All voting tabulated and statistics generated
24 Tentative release date for results of Music Contest ][
Prizes sent out to the winners of MC][
24-30 Demo/MC][ CD covers printed and make formal arrange-
ments for mastering the winning MC][ onto DAT
October:
1-14 Demo/MC][ CD's printed and processed
This is all tentative, but its a goodline. If you have any questions
Music Contest ][ related, write me a BRIEF letter, and I'll get back
to you promptly.
